ALL I can hope for is Alabama gets hosed on an officials call in the SEC Championship game and it cost Alabama a chance to go to the BCS Championship game...how will you or your other gumps feel then?..will you swallow or just lick?..Most gumps have the mentality of....fill in the blank...

I love seeing the Alabama fans posting on here after their win, proving they are classless. I'm not saying we would have won. And Alabama proved to be a good team and won the game. That is in the past. But it is obvious that something needs to be done about the officiating and the SEC needs to launch an investigation to determine why these controversies continuously happen within the conference. It's the principle of the thing.

UGA fans were saying the same thing a couple of weeks ago after they got hosed by the refs in LSU's favor. Were the refs horrible and in need of an investigation when LSU was on the other side of the fence of one of these calls just a couple of weeks ago? Funny, I don't remember this type of outrage when it happened to another team and it helped LSU win. Ooops. I agree that SEC refs are pretty bad for whatever reason, but every team in the SEC can point to at least one or two of these types of calls over the last 2-3 years that screwed them out of a win or a chance to win.

I'm sending my tomorrow by snail mail. I think it is more professional and effective. Let's hear what you think.

Dear Mr. Slive:
I am writing to request your immediate attention and remedial actions toward improving the substandard quality of SEC football officials.
Of course I do not believe that poor officiating is engineered to maneuver two undefeated teams into the SEC championship football game. Those who do are just plain silly. However, I also find it unfathomable that our officials not only miss calls on the field made in the heat of rapid movements and developments, but also in replay booths. The former is sometimes understandable - the latter is always unforgivable.
I find no need to recite a litany of instances when our officials performed abysmally. Millions of football fans saw some of the same events on television and I am certain that you are aware of plenty. However, I am unaware of anyone other than SEC officers and officials themselves who believe your efforts to correct those problems has been sufficient or even modestly successful. With all due respect, sir, your "gag order" on SEC coaches has made our conference in general and, from what I can perceive, you in particular a laughingstock. Surely you can do better than that.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my views.
With kindest regards, I am,
Sincerely,

FWIW, Georgia was a judgment call. The LSU-Bama call in question was not. Not to mention the celebration calls against LSU and Georgia in that game are not reviewable.
Peterson's INT was reviewable, and the frustrating part for LSU fans is the fact that it was reviewed, and they still got it wrong.

What was the name of the replay review ref who wrote a book with a Bryant quote in it?

I just faxed the letter over to the SEC offices.

Alabama WILL get hosed in the SECCG because the officials will put UF in the NC. Alabama can't beat Texas (who I believe will also be in the NC game). Then all the Bama fans will be here "whining" about how they got screwed.
