Obviously, he brings some mobility to the table, but he can't replace Mett's arm or knowledge of the offense.

I think Iowa's defensive backs will have trouble against Landry & OBJ. Just my 2 cents.

I didn't know Iowa was such a bottom dweller until I read this forum. I think the SEC bowl matchups should be like this every year:

SEC #1 vs Oregon
SEC #2 vs Oklahoma
SEC #3 vs Ohio St
SEC #4 vs USC
SEC #5 vs Texas
SEC #6 vs Michigan
SEC #7 vs FSU
SEC #8 vs Miami
SEC #9 vs Stanford
SEC #10 vs Nebraska
SEC #11 vs Clemson
SEC #12 vs Oklahoma St.
SEC #13 vs Boise St.
SEC #14 vs can't think of anymore

Just take those opponents and shuffle them every year and call it good, or better yet you all could just play yourselves in every bowl.

while I certainly don't agree that "every big ten team is inferior to the worst SEC team" the ACC's coastal division winner is playing the SEC West's 4th place team.. And "said" SEC team is spotted almost 2 touchdowns by vegas..

This obviously doesn't disprove your point.. but if the ACC does look down on the SEC.. they're dumb.

Please re-read the conversation I had with the Iowa fan. I was comparing the Big Ten to the ACC.

Why stop at 3 losses, why not say lsu would have 4 losses with Iowa's schedule and get laughed off the board? Guy, your conference champ, their best team lost to Tommy Rees led ND. Mighty msu lmao.

Because with a QB making his first start and a defense that limits opponents to 64% of their rushing average.

Iowa would be silly to not try to shut down your run game. Typically the Iowa defense tries to make a team one dimensional anyway.

Maybe both Hill and Magee missed the plane or something.

Key word...try.

Look I can appreciate your conviction here, but your DBs or your scheme isn't going to slow down our passing offense. The only thing that may slow down our passing offense is AJ trying to do too much. Hell have his two security blankets healthy and the running game will be fine.

Tigers will win this one by 17+.

Was your passing offense a product of your great WRs or Mettenberger being a high IQ QB with game experience?

I've only seen the clip of the last drive vs Arkansas, I think. I believe that long pass play was a product of the Arkansas D being confused and overplaying on Jennings. The Iowa D will be more prepared.

Unlike some, I am very concern with our DBs matching up with your WRs, but if our d-line can create pressure I have confidence in our LBers helping out with pass coverage.

Write it down. We'll see you in a BCS game, if you guys are good enough to make it there. Mettenberger playing well this year made your team. Without him, you'd be .500.

You don't get out much, do you? Well, stay tuned to a little game they call the Under Armor All American game and the Armed Forces All American game. There you will see 7 of the top 20 2014 recruits name LSU as their team for next year. This includes a beast of a man in an 18 year old's body named Leonard Fournette. Also watch for a guy they call "Speedy" Noil. Along with Malachi Dupree, Tony Brown, Gerald Willis, Ed Paris, ... Well... you will get the point. Please tune in as you will see so many PURPLE AND GOLD LSU HATS donned by so many
young 5* All American recruits that your eyes will blur.
Don't get me wrong, when our NFL pipeline bleeds not only our beloved Mett... but all of the other player leaving for the draft (ours leave as Juniors so we have to have great recruits) these amazing young Tigers will just step in and take over.

We don't rebuild, we just reload!

You have seemed like a fairly intelligent and enthusiastic fan. You need to understand one thing about Louisiana. There are not many rednecks in Louisiana. We are cajuns. We are creole. We are Native Americans. We are African Americans. We are cowboy. We are lots of things but there are hardly any REDNECKS in Louisiana. There is a small corner of the state in the north near Arkansas that has a small constituency of rednecks but they are imports.

WE ARE BAYOU BENGALS!!!!! Nothing red about us. That is a state to the east of us with a short little fella for a coach.

We are Purple. We are Gold. We ARE NOT RED necks.... Nor are we ignorant.

We have no idea which LSU shows up on Jan. 1, but I guarantee you one thing. If the REAL LSU TIGERS show up.... It is going to be a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGG day for you, friend.

How will we ever compete?

Iowa will show up. If your Tigers don't, that's your problem.
