There won’t be a season this fall and I can’t believe a lot of y’all are clinging to the hope that there will be. I think it’s absurd to postpone or cancel the season but this is the world we live in right now. Rational thinking has been tossed aside for feelings and politics.

How is this greed, Football pays for most the other sports. I read this morning the Mac is in real trouble because it relied on playing road games against Power 5 teams...

Think of how many jobs will be lost at universities around the country? And it’s way beyond just sports. ESPN, ABC, CBS, etc...will all be letting go members of their various CFB production teams, beat writers let go, just so many unintended consequences that for some reason, people like Joe can’t see. And the local economies. Someone this week projected Tuscaloosa would lose $200 million in local revenue if Bama doesn’t have a season. I’m sure it’s like that at a lot of places.

People like him tend to think that you can just snap your fingers and everything will be back to normal (speaking about financially and economically) after taking a break and losing money. They don't get the damage that happens just so everybody can feel safe.

Case in point: look how many corporations out there have already cut out matching contribution on 401(k)? That's just the start of it. They start cutting out the benefits, then next come salary reductions, and worst case scenario cutting jobs.

If we could have a season in 2001 after 9/11, and have a season at LSU in 2005 after Katrina - then I'd think we are going to have a season this year. Just a hunch.

And all these pinhead sportswriters and sportscasters will collectively orgasm over the announcement to cancel. These morons are so busy toeing the line, they are potentially cheerleading their way out of their own livelihoods. All over a virus than in reality kills significantly less than 1% of people who contract it.

For the sheeple who don't agree, yes the OFFICIAL mortality rate is higher than I just stated, but the ACTUAL one is as low as I claim due to the numerous people that have gone undiagnosed and RECOVERED that are not being calculated in the "official" death rate.

This when will you sheep understand.

The cruise ship industry brings in way more money than college football and that’s still shut down. Keep dreaming though .

Well, I said it two months ago...on Tigerdroppings. It was fairly obvious. We have a pandemic with no cure. For various reasons it is disproportionately affecting the African American population, and they make up most of the football players. And our govenors are not going to let large gatherings take place.

Two months ago I said there would be no football in the fall, and we had a better than even chance of playing the season in the spring.

He quoted two, but says he spoke to multiple people. If he spoke to six or 12 or 14, did you expect him to quote them all in the article? He took the best quotes, but we have no idea how many he spoke to.
