They did go to 5 straight Final 4s from 2004-2008 with Augustus and Fowles. They should have won the title in 2005 or 2006 when they had both.

LSU went to 6 consecutive Elite Eights (2003-2008) and 5 consecutive Final Fours (2004-2008).

That’s pretty much in every sport. Even the men’s basketball team played better toward the end of the season. Sign of good coaching.
