Other side of this draft vs college: if Gavin C. has a bad SR year of HS, or gets hurt he might not have been drafted high or at all. Then any kid would have gone to college to try to improve his draft stock. And why wouldn't our Tigers have wanted to be in that fallback position?

Point #2 - Zach Lee broke our heart but do you think CLM acted the same way as PM acted with Cechini?

I think that Butler, the pitcher,accepted a scholarship to LSU last month.

"Not really. The area is full of talent". Would you care to give reasons why with the Barbe Football team has failed to not even play in a state football championship? Would you agree that they have not done well in track or basketball in the last several years as I recall.

Z. Lee was lagniappe for baseball; he wasn't ever going to cost them a scholarship. And Z. Lee actually took more money than what his goal number was.

ETA: I'm not bashing Cecchini, just explaining why the two situations are not really comparable.
