I think you need to remember, that other than being a newly constructed area...those SEZ upper decks will be about the WORST in the house ! WHERE else would you want to seat visiting fans ????

I personally believe of the 7,000 seats or whatever is allocated to away teams, 4K should be in the lower bowl and mandated by the SEC. Would encourage traveling to away games. I know I don't much motivation to drive 6 or 7 hours to a road game to sit in the top of the nosebleeds after having done it a couple times.

Ive been to at least 2 SEC away games each of the past 20 yrs and other sec schools spread out the oppossing fans. meaning they give us seats in the far reaching corners of the upper decks.1500 Seats in the upper decks in all 4 corners and a 1000 seats in the lower bowl for students, family and our travel band. I'm 40 and always manuever my way into the lower bowl next to the band and party with the students on road trips. Only way to geaux on the road.

I rarely buy away game tickets from LSU...you can get MUCH better seating @ the away game !
Have "worked" my way on to the Preferred/alumni "lists" at Ole Ms,MSU and have an "angle" on bama/Aub. tickets.

Hell no! It used to be that way, but why give vistors better seats than our own fans get? If I had my way, I'd seat vistors the way Bama does it. About 1,500 in the lower bowl and the rest spread out in the 4 corners of the upper decks.

Good, on the few times we lose at home I get real tired of watching the huge party of visiting fans. It irritates me enough when they score or make a defensive play in the south end.

We are far more generous then most SEC school... Why...??? No Fing clue...

It's probably because LSU has a tradition of being one of the premiere college football venues in the country - and has been since the 30's.

In the 50s and 60s teams would rather play at Tiger Stadium than schedule a home and away series with LSU. Look at Johnny Vaught at Ole Miss, and A&M from the 40s - 60s. Those guys wanted to play in BR.

A lot of people don't realize that LSU and Tulane were vying for the largest stadium in the conference from the 30s - 60s, everytime one would add seats, the other would follow shortly after and top it. Neyland Stadium didn't surpass the capacity of Tiger Stadium until 1972.

There's a reason we think Tiger Stadium is one of the best places to catch a ball game: Because it is. That has triditaionally gone for visiting fans as well.

UF gave us legit seats when I was a student at lsu. We sat like 2 rows behind LSU's bench.

We sat in same seats for 2010 game there. Never been so close to the field in my life. Great experience

'Bout time, we literally sat on top of Kile Gar hole Feild and then there wasn't enough room because of those tiny seat markers, could see Mexico from up there but not the band?

Alleva also said the project will allow LSU to open up about 1,500 seats in the lower bowl of Tiger Stadium for LSU fans, moving visiting fans to the upper deck.

Good to hear. We have been way too kind in seating for opposing fans.

I have been to away games at various SEC games and the seats for LSU fans suck.

I agree, but if other teams aren't doing we shouldn't either.

If it was mandated and everyone did it, it would be fine.

It would be fun to just scatter them throughout the stadium so they can't organize cheers or anything and always feel outnumbered

Finally. I get sick of seeing nothing but opposing fans in the lower bowl of the SEZ.
