The SEC clearly shows hostility towards LSU that it doesn’t show toward any other program. You think the SEC would’ve threatened to expel Bama? You think the SEC would’ve allowed an LSU QB to get a local judge to order a 6th season ?

You know, I truly believe that booster meeting brain storming to come up with a way to raise all this cash by LSU was a shot across the bow to the SEC. And it damn near hit the ship!!
If Congress sees a way for them to not get involved, they will absolutely step back. The reasons many of the organizations that oppose the Bills are the restrictions of money. Imagine thinking you’re getting a $10M payday only to have Congress step in and only allow a max of $500K (I don’t know what the cap will be but point made).
They all better get onboard with Cruz’ Bill though. He’s offering partial Anti-trust exemption. Trust me. Congress RARELY offers that. If the opposing organizations don’t get onboard soon, look for that line in the Bill to get crossed out. I have no idea if Trump would even sign off on that. My guess is no, but stranger things have happened.
