One of them should've grabbed a rod and held it up, what could go wrong?

Happened to me and my brother about 50 miles out of PCB many years ago. Storm got between us and the beach. My old Pursuit had 16' Lee's wishbone fixed outriggers and you could hear them humming with lightning popping all around us. I almost stopped and chunked them overboard. Passed FWC at the mouth of the inlet like our hair was on fire, he ran us down and stopped us. Beer cans sloshing around in the splash well and all he said Y'all look like it got a little hairy out there...Lol

Been there, done that and it's scary. Sometimes the clouds build around you and no matter which way you go, you are running in to it to get away from it.
