Center.
Probably the most forgotten position on the team.
This isn't the NFL where the LT is the most valuable. In college you actually have to have someone that can make the correct reads and calls--in the pros it is assumed the center can do this.

Please feel free to point out how you plan on scoring point 1 with a left tackle.

Corner. Even if you have just one good one you've limited the QB to half the field.

its o-line as a whole. if you don't have one, you can't run or pass effectively. regardless what tiger555555 spew on this board, unless you have a superior qb, teams run to set up play action passes. look at Bama this year. did their qb do anything spectacular all year?

FWIW, Sandra Bullock says it's the left tackle and the highest paid position behind the QB in the NFL.

It's just as much the player. Line D. Suh up at DT I will go with DT, line him up at center, I go center. Regardless, highly skilled interior lineman are game changers, just not noticed like the high profile positions.

not exactly left tackle.. just the tackle that protects the qb's blindside.
tough centers are important, they touch the ball just as much as qb's, if they get blasted every play hope theyre tough or you'll get bad snaps.
defense safety is a pretty important position, theyre the last line of defense, get past the safeties and its a touchdown most the time.

2 lockdown corners
I have always said that the SEC team that has a QB that is pretty good and avoids critical mistakes, accompanied by 2 lockdown corners, would be most likely to win the SEC....Applied well for 2003 and 2007 Tigers, as well as Florida and Bama in the last few years

Most important players on past few National Champions:
Alabama - Ingram and McClain
Florida - Tebow and Spikes
LSU - Hester and Dorsey
Florida - Tebow and Siler
Texas - Young and Aaron Ross
I'd go with QB and LB.

LT is much more important in the NFL than college.
Aside from QB, a shutdown CB is the next most valuable position in college football.

cb, in college football.
look at last year, two quality corners and an average d line, the defense gave up only 18 points a game in the sec.
