I agree in theory, but having the 2 last year worked - that's all I can say

Very true.
And while none of us would hesitate about trading any two receivers for Landry and OBJ, I agree with the original sentiment that the future is bright! 6 months ago wide receiver was probably thought to be an area of talent, but severe drop-off. That doesn't appear to be the case thus far.

Leslie and Peterson will not be seeing the field at wr, that's evident. I feel bad for Q

We have a corps of WRs, but I think we do have the best WR core since 2006.

Dural - 6'2 deep threat, takes top off defense
Diarse - 3rd down monster, tackle breaker, reliable catcher with great hands
Quinn - same as Diarse, but faster and will be a dangerous mismatch against LBs in the slot
Dupre - redzone fiend waiting to happen. 6'3 with 42" vert. Throw the fade, and watch him work

Jarvis and Beckham were incredible, but there were only two of them and neither had the height of guys like Dural and Dupre.

We have a WR for every situation, and they all look good.

He means that there is more depth at the WR position now then last year. Those receivers are extremely talented trust me. But last year we only threw to Beckham and Landry. Now we have weapons all over the field

Travin Dural has been impressive, but it's still to early in the season to see if his trend continues.
He's like Rueben Randle with a bit more speed.

Are the other guys just that much better than Leslie? I remember him having a lot of hype on signing day coming out of JUCO.

I just assumed he meant their body core. Maybe they do a lot of ab work, and thus our WRs have a really complete core.

We are in debt to OBJ and Jarvis not only for being great Tigers, but I think they were a factor in some of the current wide receivers coming to LSU!

As a nucleus of the passing game, 2013 had a better COREof Beckham and Landry. As far as top to bottom threats, this is probably a deeper receiving CORPS than anything we've seen since Bowe, Davis, and Doucet.

you would have to remind me...a few years back, we had a thread about the LSU receiver corpse that rapidly degenerated from there...were some classic lines in it....

my visualzation of the cosmic all...(nightmare for lil nicky...)

4 receiver set (the 3 D's and Quinn)...with Jennings and Fournette in the shotgun...

Yeah, because it's a no-brainer that he will continue to average 50 yards/catch
