5 - Alabama, (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017)
3 - LSU, (2003, 2007, 2019)
2 - Clemson, (2016, 2018)
2 - Ohio State, (2002, 2014)
2 - Florida, (2006, 2008)




Damn you Oklahoma State and your choking arse team. That 2011 title should have been LSU's which would have given both LSU & Bama 4 national championships

All true, but the voters should have also done the “right” thing as well.

I was driving through Jackson, ms today. The radio host was trying to say LSU is the best job in football. While I think it’s a top 5, he was making a good point. He mentioned all the same things that have always been said about recruiting and being the only power 5 program in the state. His point that stood out was we have won 3 championships in 16 years. Yes Bama has won 5, but it was done with one coach. LSU has won theirs with three different coaches. Each one nothing like the other. He made a good point. The only school that has won with different coaches was Ohio st

True, but winning that one would have changed a lot of other things. Saban and Bana would likely not have been as dominant since it would have vastly changed where players ended up going. We very well could have won another during that time with Les as head coach and Bama could very easily have less titles because of it. Butterfly effect.
