I'd like to know, I'm trying to think of the last year we had them. Maybe 2004? I know in 2005, the new smaller Geaux font was put in

I do prefer the old block letters but Geaux font (when it's just LSU or Geaux Tigers) is very sharp. I believe they wanted to modernize our look.

For 2000 the block letters came back strong. The field from 95-99 I'd have to say was not the best, big Tigers in the endzone, huge LSU at midfield, it was just blah

Joe Alleva's next big "mark" on the program is gonna be getting rid of the eye. . People would absolutely riot. That's an underrated thing Nick Saban brought back. I believe we used it in the 80s for a short time and it was scrapped and somehow CNS saw it and demanded it be put back at mid field. Also the 80s era endzone with the TIGERS inside diamonds (earthquake game era) is also awesome.

Bring back the diamonds.

Also, looks like people were beating the traffic back then too. Maybe the burgers got bumped up from a nickel.

The tiger head logo that’s on the practice field will eventually replace the old tiger eye in TS. It’s a new era let’s make some updates.

That eye is iconic. Jesus christ. Not everything has to change and be updated out of its own existence.

I don't see any players on the field or sidelines so maybe this is pregame or post. Probably not halftime as the band isn't on the field.

Wow, great pic. I'm glad we moved on from the diamonds though. ha ha.

I see we had the 5 yard increments back then.

I got a nasty rugburn on my leg after sliding into first on the grounds of this facility at Skip Bertman's baseball camp.
