Those stats i gave for Mett were from 2013.
Get your shite straight.

EVEN MORE LIES:
Those stats i gave for Mett were from 2013. But if we look at 2012 the STATS HE PROVIDED ARE STILL LIES.
2012 Mett:
8.36 y/A
151.79 Rating
778 pass yds
My yards were 100% accurate. {I said they were yards. I did not say they were passing yards. The 25 rushing yard difference is trivial anyway. So GFY.]
My rating was 100% accurate.
I think you're beginning to understand.
Good For You.

BTW, riddle me this.
You posted and efficiency rating for AJ that is the exact same number as provided for his BQ rating (A stat you say is made up).
Do you really expect people to believe these numbers are exactly the same...yet use completely different equations?

quote:CptBengal already admitted that Jennings' QB rating of 147.73 was correct. However, for you, I will post them again.
You forgot JJ's numbers, bubba
Lee's Efficiency
((8.4*624)+(330*6)+(100*56)-(200*1))/87
Mett's Efficiency
((8.4*778)+(330*2)+(100*63)-(200*2))/93
Jennings' Efficiency
((8.4*723)+(330*5)+(100*40)-(200*1))/78

People aren't going to be very receptive to information that contradicts their agenda.

I gave my link, clown.
quote:Mett had 778 passing yards.
Second, You claimed in your "equation" Mett had 778 yds.
But in your OP you claimed he had 750 yds.
Mett had 753 yards = 778 passing yards - 25 rushing yards.

More LIES.............
So I just used the equation you provided for efficiency, the one you claim to have used.
Here are the real numbers if you actually ran the equations (HINT: You didnt)
EFFICIENCY:
Mett: 147.91
AJ: 147.73
Lee: 145.08
-->> So the only difference is you removed 10 points from Mett's score. Why would you do that?
Why LIE?

First 6 games Mauck started in 02 (as a RS soph with 2 yrs under Jimbo), he only went over 50% completions twice, and 200 yds once. he was throwing to guys like Mike Clayton and Jerel Myers. the next yr, he set some school passing records. LINK
not saying Jennings will necessarily have such a big uptick in his passing, but QBs do tend to get better with game experience, even if they're up and down in the process.

I never said that "BQ rating" is a made up stat.
I never said that “"QB Rating" is a made up stat.
I said that QBR is a stat made up by ESPN. The formula is proprietary to ESPN and not available to the public. It's a bullshite stat.
"QB Efficiency" is equal to "Passer Rating" is equal to "QB Rating."
None of them are equal to QBR.

LSU football stats
Here's the stats. You idiots can go there and crunch the numbers.
By looking at them you'll see that ZM was probably a little bit (but not significantly) better than AJ in his first 4 games as a starter.
In 2012 LSU played two cupcakes, a decent Washington team, and terrible Auburn team (away)
In 2014 LSU has played two cupcakes. A good (but not great) Wisc. team, and what seems to be a pretty good MSU team.
I think all would agree that AJ has faced tougher competition to start his career, and 2012's defense is much better than 2014's. That said, neither guy was great to start out. ZM didn't turn in even a good performance in an SEC game until Les was FORCED to open up the passing game in the 2nd half against Bama
1. I think the QB "controversy" is completely overblown considering just how bad LSU's run defense is. That has to be priority #1 to get it fixed soon.
2. I don't care if you play Harris or Jennings at QB, if the same approach is taken on offense, the same results will occur. What makes anyone think that LSU will change the offense just because Harris starts? Likewise, what evidence is there that Harris will be the better option when he is forced to run LSU's basic set? One aborted drive against Wisc.?

i thought I found your error, AJ.
You said mett only had 83 attempts....
But if that were true and you really ran the equation then it would have been a rating of 165.73.
No, instead you just subtracted points off another player to fit an agenda. Pretty pathetic.
ETA: in 2012 Mett had 93 attempts.

The numbers in the OP are completely accurate.
In the numbers in the formula I posted later in this thread to explain, I mistyped an 8 for a 9.
The numbers in the OP are still completely accurate.
You are still a pathetic piece of shite.

If you cannot see that Harris throws the ball way better than Jennings, then you just don't get it. There is nothing we can do for you.

No kidding. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. Miles has an opportunity to put the much more talented guy out on the field and let him develop in a season where a playoff shot is unrealistic. But, you know, it's been too long since we've had a good QB controversy, so let's keep beating our head against the wall.

This is all wonderful. Stats are so cool, and over the long haul they actually begin to tell you something. Any fool can tell you the arm strength of Mett vs AJ. Yes, I know this is hindsight, but people are making arguments in Nashville that Mett should start for the Titans. Obviously, Mett is older than AJ, but do any of you believe that fans in an NFL city will be clamoring for AJ to start.

No they arent.
Anyone else wanna run Mett's numbers from 2012:
Eff = [(8.4*778) + (330*4) + (100*63) - (200*2)]/93
what do you get....

This thread is not about Harris. Although, Harris had some glaring rookie mistakes in the first three games, he played well in the MSU game. Harris earned more playing time.
