Ok. So what? They have open try outs for walk-ons. Literally anyone can go try and make the football team.
I know she was working out with the football team last summer when the general student populace wouldn't have been allowed to.
But Summer of George was saying the only reason she was getting to try out while his stoner, alcoholic, rec league buddies can't is because she's a former soccer player. If she makes the team and they don't, it's probably because she actually showed up for practice.

If anything this is distracting from the talk of how least season ended...
I don't think anyone is distracted, you have proof someone is? My proof that they aren't it's apparent in every practice video I've seen...haven't seen tm7 watching kickers, don't think that he would be allowed to do so if he is supposed to be practicing.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing that's just is how it is. If Storm Warren wanted to try football it'd be a lot easier for him to get a shot than some random LSU student with the exact same size and physical ability.

They were blue chip recruits coming out of high school that didn't qualify academically, they went on to play in the NFL.
I'd say that is a bit different than someone who has never taken a live snap.

What I'm saying is that if by some crazy fluke Les finds himself without the services of Alleman, Hairston, Delahoussaye or Domingue, he could scour the campus frat houses and find a few guys that would be much better than Mo. You know, guys that actually kicked a fb 4 years in high school. Not a Haiston or Alleman mind you, but much more serviceable than Mo. Take those 4 guys off the roster and hold open tryouts and Mo would have a lot more competition.

My question is proper height. Part of kicking is getting the ball over those trees in the middle. That's what separates players (guys and girls) from having leg strength and being able to kick in game situations. I am sure at a top 5 school like LSU we already have kids who can kick adequately. I trust Miles in his ability to recruit kickers. I am sure he already has this position taken care of with proper depth.

Of course there are people better than her. I'm sure there's more than a few people walking around campus better than a our walkons but if those guys want to play they should probably show up for tryouts. She showed up so that's half the battle. Hopefully you don't think Les should go scouring campus for the best walkons.

I remember when they tried that in the late 90's when Wade Richey was out top kicker. It didn't work back then.
In some beyondo world somewhere Jim Abbot pitched for the Yankees, Oscar Pistorius ran in the Olympics, Helen Hunt led some team in California to the state title (or something)...sometimes amazing things happen. Why are a few haters ripping on this girl simply for trying out?
