That’s the first big surprise of the night for LSU. They were kinda expecting him to make it to campus

Can we just assume everyone who has been drafted so far is gone? I don't know enough about the MLB draft besides the fact that I hate round 2 this year

I do remember hearing Jay on multiple interviews saying they expected the draft to hit this year's class pretty hard because they had a "ton of money" in this year's draft.

There is a stat, it is something like 12 out of 1,200 have not signed since 2021 when drafted. If you see their name tonight, they are signing.

I guess looking at the rankings and what many people expected to happen, there haven't been too many surprises other than Anthony Eyanson not being drafted yet.

no its not that few. Cam Johnson, Ashton Larson, Jake Brown were all drafted in the 19th and 20th rounds and came to school. There's gotta be more than 12 in the last 4 years.

But if theyre drafted in the top 10 rounds then theyre almost guaranteed to sign. If they dont sign, then the MLB team loses that slot value towards their bonus pool. They wont pick someone in the top 10 rounds if they arent highly confident that they will sign.

Someone call Todd or Gordon. We getting down to the $1M slot value area. Pick 81 is the first one under $1M and they are on 76. Give Ant a million and unlimited law services and chicken fingers!

Eyanson is highest rated college player still on board now that Texas’ Belyeu was picked.

Not in the entire draft, I believe it was the top 10 rounds or maybe even less. Point was anyone drafted tonight is gone.

The 19th/20th round crap is a longshot the MLB teams do to see if they can get someone to come by overpaying the shite out of them from slot value saved in the other rounds. Rarely works.

Now I selfishly hope Eyanson falls to the Astros. Or even the Padres.

LSU duo in Seattle would be kinda cool

Slot money for next pick is 900K

He has to be asking too much is my guess as to why he hasn't been drafted yet.

Lets get him some money at LSU and we have our Friday starter
