I will get downvoted, but it needs to be said...

Missouri was 1-4 in SEC play entering the night, and their crowd was pretty electric. Their student section, though somewhat douchey, were loud and energetic throughout. I legit envy that atmosphere that they have.

The stadium was half empty and still louder than the PMAC. LSU fans need to step it up.

I could hear their student section cheering well before the rest of the crowd, like they were leading them.

Aleva really needs to just bite the bullet and move the student section back to where they were, then get Will Wade to send invitations to each Greek house and get them to come out to games.

I’m not even sure where it should begin. You can’t show up AT gametime and expect to get a front row seat. But we need the loud drinks up front

I could be wrong, but despite how underwhelming they've been in recent years, I think Mizzou folks still consider themselves as a basketball school first.

Different places just have different attitudes towards different programs.

Move the press elsewhere. Make the entire thing students behind the goal

They bitched about a call or no call on every possession. Annoying crowd

Annoying because we were the opponents...that's what we want. To annoy opponents

What?!? You do realize that Missouri’s student section was also on the baseline behind one of the baskets, right? So they, and many other schools can have great student sections that are positioned on the baselines; but yet the only way LSU students can be loud and engaged in a game is by having some of the best seats in the house? Get out of here with that crap.

And this is coming from someone who got to watch games in the old student section when I was in school. But if the student section then would have been where it is now, I still would have been in there every game yelling as loud as I could.

I’m so sick of this argument. LSU students need to get off their spoiled entitled asses and go support this team and be loud doing it and enjoy the fact you get to do it for free. Plus, I don’t ever see anyone here arguing when this subject comes up to move the student section in Tiger Stadium to sideline seats in order to get students more engaged. No one ever seems to have an issue with the students being stuck in the end zone there. You know why? Because it shouldn’t make a difference.

The student section at Mizzou is virtually identically located to the current LSU student section. Location needs to be terminated as an excuse for the lackluster student involvement in our games.

The atmosphere can be improved immediately by moving the media out of those seats next to the student section. That entire area needs to be one big student section with all of them shaking pom poms like every other student section in the SEC.

BTW, if you're one of those "Fake" macho males that's insecure with your masculinity and are "Intimidated" by shaking a Pom Pom at a college basketball (Or football) game, please seek psychological and/or psychiatric help.

The Shakers look cool on TV!

Shake Pom poms! That’ll surely liven the place up!

For the 100000th time.. basketball has been 3rd fiddle at best for many years at LSU. Football and baseball have trumped basketball with the exception of a few years. Y’all want our fans to be like duke and Kentucky, we’ll thats the only thing they have to cheer for, relax

If wade can have a successful season, have another solid recruiting class and fans will be more excited to go to the games. But don’t act like b-ball will become like football and baseball atmospheres

So wait, fans aren’t capable of supporting more than 2 things? You can see a tremendous product but not get engaged? Even the baseball crowds suck for the most part. Go checkout that first February game ina Tuesday or Wednesday.
I’ve been to Cameron indoor. We stood in line for 31/2 hours to get in.
The media needs to be moved but this team deserves our support

Take into account they are in Colombia, Missouri. There is absolutely nothing to do in Colombia except Mizzou.
LSU students fans have options they dont.
Also check out they're baseball crowd in 2 weeks.

Another whiney thread about basketball fans.

Please explain why "it needs to said..." ...

If ANY of you think complaining on here about the fans, the attendance or the seating then you're terribly naive! No one gives a shite! If they did, all of it would have improved or changed already! If nothing has changed after the first whiney thread or the 100 or so since then it ain't gonna change now!

If people want to attend, they will!
If people want to cheer, they will!
But it won't be because of whining on any fan site!

And BTW...the student section ain't gonna be moved and neither is the press section!
