The plays weren't the problem. The QB was. The receivers were in position to make some plays but if the QB can't make the throw, the receivers might as well sit down on the hash marks and wait for the play to be over. I would say the O-Line should've blocked better but BAMA was stacking the box bc they knew our QB couldn't do ANY damage through the air..

its not that difficult

Might as well make that assumption, because otherwise it is too depressing to hear the coach of your beloved team make sure comments.

If say...Andrew Luck had been our QB and they called the exact same plays....do you think we would've fared better? or perhaps if our o-line had decided to show up?

I wouldn't say he's a moron. He's just stubborn, and not about to admit to a bunch of reporters that perhaps he could have made some adjustments to win that game.

What's he supposed to say? You want him to throw the team under the bus, most of whom are still here? Win as a team, lose as a team. Never forget the taste of losing and use it as motivation to win this year.

We lost. It sucked. Move on.

Exactly. JJ was horrible and should've been taken out but the plays weren't bad. There were multiple times that we had receivers running free only JJ was horrible so he didn't see them.

The good news is JJ is no longer on the team and we finally have a QB who can actually throw it.

LOLOLOLOL. Would he still have called a doomed fullback power run on a key third and two? What indefensible tripe.

One should actually LEARN from one's mistakes. It's the hallmark of intelligence. Miles' statements must be a public facade meant to blunt criticism of the staff. I can only imagine that, privately, Miles recognizes the epic ineptitude of the January 2012 gameplan.

When Miles said "We didn’t execute well" that was his subtle way of admitting that Jefferson was to blame.

I'll take up for Miles in a heartbeat when the unobjective bashers jump on something that isn't there...but the game was horribly called. Yes, JJ was bad but the staff had to know that Bama would be ready for a game plan similar to Nov.

Pressed later about the game, Miles continued to maintain he wouldn’t change LSU’s game plan, just the game.

“We would have called the exact same plays,” he said. “We would have just executed them better.

“The plays would have been really good plays. We didn’t execute well.”

Maybe if he had a QB who could execute the plays.

Here's a thought...If it's not the play calling, then maybe bench the player who isn't "executing" and give another player the chance to "execute".

How is that not blaming the team? Aren't they the ones who "execute" the plays? Obviously the coaches did a great job of calling the plays.

After JJ threw the staff under the bus for the plays called? Yes... I think this is Miles' way of throwing JJ under the bus without mentioning his name.
