I seriously think Miles would be more receptive to winging it around if he knew he could trust his quarterbacks.

He threw the ball a lot at Oklahoma State. They were pretty wide open, but balanced.

I also wonder why LSU doesn't run the old Notre Dame box formation... have JJ, JL, RR and SW all in the box formation , snap the ball to JJ he turns his back to the defense, all the other players in the backfield cut to him and he fakes it to all of them and then keeps it himself on a QB option run up the middle. I can't believe Coach Miles is not using this.

Miles likes smash mouth football, if he feels he has the talent and the depth that is his first choice to beat you, risk taking only comes when option A has failed...

Hell,since we're looking for something different, let's come out in a straight T formation.

Ford at Right Halfback, Hilliard at Fullback and Ware at Left Half.

Man, that would cross Bama up all day.

Put JJ in the game as one of the wide outs, change Mett's number and then JJ goes in Motion and Mett rotates off a WR spot into QB slot ....
