No, we are all saying Miles should have let Harris pass the ball.

Harris threw the ball 14 times and compleyed 3. He wasn't ready no matter how you rantards want to spin it.

but Miles is doing exactly what he should....stepping up and taking the blame, trying to build his confidence.......for those that can't understand this, it just goes to show how dumb some are in here

Which he should have done a long, long, long time ago you dumb mother fricker....like lets say right after the game for starters.
What? You let that shite stain sit on that kids chest for the rest of the season? Talk about about a confidence killer!

Back when Jarrett Lee was here, there were many people crying about the "confidence" problems that Jarrett had which they blamed on the coaches. Now many of the same Lee-tards are trying to say that Harris is as mentally fragile as Lee was and blame it on the coaches

I think Harris is a lot more confident and mentally stronger than many of you give him credit for.

People just looking for excuses and Miles (and other HCs) are easy punching bags. Reality is there are a lot of factors that go into each player's individual success. Believe it or not, the coaches, the individual player and even his teammates all play a role.

I wanted it too at the time. Let's not look back now and try to justify the stupidity of the entire coaching staff for doing it anyway.

I never said the kid wasn't mentally strong. I'm simply saying I would never let someone else take the blame/criticism for something I fricked up......and then come forward months later and say "uhhhhhh......well......it really was my fault not his.....next question."

incapable of developing qbs

Are you saying Mett didn't develop?
Are you saying Lee didn't develop?
Are you saying Matt didn't develop?
Are you saying RP didn't develop?
Are you saying Russell didn't develop?

I ask cause everyone of those QBs was playing better football at the end of their careers here than they were at the beginning of their careers.

Not throwing the ball wasn't a problem since he threw 14 times in the 1st half. The problem was he only completed 3 of those passes.

As has been mentioned, I cant recall anyone saying before the Auburn game, "don't start Harris". Now it's, "Harris shouldn't have started" or "Harris should have started the 2nd half" or "Harris should have started Vs. Kent."

Nothing but useless, 20/20 hindsight, arm chair coaching.

Nice spin....typical of most dumazz pumpers.....I wanted him to start purely for selfish reasons. I've already stated the kid went to my high school...I watched him come up and all that.

But as you azz clowns have said numerous times.....we aren't the coaches and we don't call the shots...not do we get paid the big bucks to do so.

Yea I was stupid.....stupid enough to believe Miles would have Harris ready to play that day.

At the time, people were upset with the defense in that game. people forget that AU had close to 400 yards of offense IN THE FIRST HALF. I believe they scored on 4 out of first 5 possessions as well. total melt down by the defense.

Secondly, none of us know what the conversations were between miles and harris before, during, and after that game. Miles has never told anyone about the high ankle sprain harris got in that game. that came from harris.

third, Miles has been the one to receive the blame. Terry b., Harris's coach, and even you have been bitching about him ever since.

I can't believe you're asking this. If you fked up and someone got the blame and was being crucified in the press....would you have waited that long?? Handled it that way?

I'm sure he did. But I would have went a step further and said don't sweat it kid, I'll take the heat in the media....you just keep working hard. Wouldn't that have been the prudent thing to do?
I mean.....wouldn't a high character guy do something along these lines? Serious ?

Ok true...but receiving the blame and accepting the blame are two totally different things. My only beef is that this plea for absolution should have come sooner.

Choc and I had this discussion. I've made some bank on betting that Miles wouldn't cover the spread. It's worked out nicely in the last few years.

1) how can you accept blame for another if you are the one receiving the blame?

2) when was Brandon harris blamed for the AU game or Miles blamed for playing him and Miles said it wasn't he (miles fault) or Brandon didn't play well enough?

Please show me these accusations? I do not believe you are accurate.
