So you could only find 177 other ones?

I was running short on time, and when I got to mykidssoccerleague.com I decided it was enough.

didn't Meyers have to hire a few new members to bis staff. We'll see how he does without his OC. and new staff at Bama also. New DC was a factor in judging Miles and remember both SI and ESPN reports that Michigan job Miles accepted and sure made them look like fools when it didn't happen. Don't let these things upset your Blood pressure and Have A Great Day.

My rankings:
1.) Meyer
2.) Saban - needs to win this year to retain number 2, else Miles passes him with a good year.
3.) Miles

ehh, just somebody's guessing game. I can't fault him for what he thinks. What he says about Miles is right on. He unfortunately is having to prove himself again next year. Now he may have the coaching staff and key personnel in place to have no excuses. It's put up or shut up. All that in spite of winning an NC. The only real beef I have with this ranking is that there is no way Richt nor Nutt should be ahead of him. Neither of these guys have done squat relatively speaking. It's all about perception.

Nick Saban and Richt shouldn't be ahead of Miles.

Getting trumped by Utah in the sugar bowl with the advantage of being in SEC Territory was not even close to being a great coach..Saban just had an easy schedule that benefited for getting to a great record.

And Richt? What has he accomplished that worth something?

That's a complete joke. They are not talking about just last year. If you take the coaches performance at their current school, which is really the only thing that matters, and use facts (i.e. won/lost record, championships, etc). Miles is number 2.

I have an idea: Why don't we compile a TD ranking of sportswriters and sports magazines?

This exact same article was posted on Rivals only Miles and Brooks were flipped 6 and 7.
SI is getting lazy.

It s look at the bottom of the page:
quote:

Tom Dienhart is a national senior writer for Rivals.com. He can be reached at dienhart@yahoo-inc.com

Yahoo owns Rivals, but kept Shannon Terry - Gump extrodinaire, as thier CEO.

I dunno, if we were to rank writers/magazines would we find any one that we could in good conscience rank number one? I mean, I think it's common knowledge that ESPN/Rivals/Herbstreit/Corso/Scout/SI/et al hate LSU...

Nutt does not have an SEC Title.

I think the article just shows how cut throat the cutting profession is in the SEC. Win a national title...great. Go 8-5 the following year with 2 freshmen QBs...you drop all the way to 6th. Crazy but that's the new reality of the SEC...What have you done for me lately.

ridiculous but fair...

LSU should have outclassed both ole miss and arkansas... and failed - were outplayed and outcoached in each of those games... neither the razorbacks or rebels had LSU quality talent on the field except at quarterback.

the play-calling in overtime against the tide demonstrated a satisfaction in simply keeping the game a contest... the murphy wild tiger? WTF? the interception throw into the endzone on 3rd and long? WTF?

Coach Miles will have them back this year... just watch they'll be something

Thats just rediculous how little respect they have for Miles. You can bet you arse if you could get a private poll of the SEC coaches that Miles wouldn't be ranked 6th.
