You could have just said "Cameron is overpaid".

I love Les and hope he is successful going forward but these tweets make it sound like throwing the football is some new phenomenon that was just invented and we are at the cutting edge of adopting it.

Good word usage!

Dammed, thought it was referring to Amelia Earhart as in being lost and improving our passing aptitude! Had to look it up to make the correct link...good one.

so this begs the question...if our strength is in our running game, is it really smart to spend an "inordinate amount of time" trying to manufacture a passing game just to pacify the fans? what is the risk that we end up excelling it neither the running game or the passing game?

probably not a popular sentiment, but I am a firm believer in the old saying "dance with the one that brung you"...

Cam Cameron is the highest paid OC in college football. Shouldn't he already be on the cutting edge of modern offensive strategies?

I too find that a bit comical or ironic or something that the highest paid OC has to go learn these things (why don't we just hire someone who knows how to run a modern day offense?). But on the good side am at least glad that they can acknowledge their shortcomings and are trying to learn about modern day offense football and implement a more modern offense. Our passing game problems (and other problems with our offense) seemed to extend far beyond having an inaccurate QB and inexperienced receivers.

Miles doesn't "admit" anything. For the most part, he speaks in opposites, just uses odd words because of this gamesmanship he plays in his mind.

This is a joke, right?

Even if you don't, please tell me that you do know the difference in where coach salaries and university funds come from anyway.

"We're headed towards the opportunity to throw the football better" WTF? That's awesome any way you look at it..... as in a funny as sh*t thing to say that makes no sense but somehow in some strange way I am saying to myself...."oh yeah, so sounds good to me"... at least i might think so in a maybe sort of way possible.

Yeah, as if LSU were 1940's, 1950's LSU that had just discovered the passing game like the rest of the country.

His job depends on it, that's why.

This is the answer. Furthermore, I think it's also true that his job will depend on it on the basis of the play on the field, which is why I'm cautiously optimistic that it might actually happen this year.

Call me crazy but I always thought the bigger issue was the inability to be creative in the running game to compensate for the inconsistent passing game.

I like where you are going with it, but even that wouldn't excuse how bad we've been most years at passing.

You dont really believe this do you? I mean I've never been a Miles fan but he rarely does things that aren't calculated. Apparently, he does want to balance the O more. The passing game does require more time to refine....maybe this is why they're spending more time working in this area. As anemic as our passing game has been, it def needs the work.
