So Ford is going to ride the bench all year? That is what I took from those comments.

Miles never was one to say much...even when he tried, for that matter. From what I've read, if Ford doesn't get more than a couple of touches I'd be surprised.

quote:

“I think the veteran guys certainly have separated themselves some from the younger guys, but there is some talent there in that young group that frankly we might want to let get on the field and just let them carry the ball and spell some of these veteran backs,” Miles said. “I think you can look forward to seeing a carry or two mixed around, but I think you'll see Ridley and Murphy getting the lion's share."

I believe this will change week to week especialy if they loose a game or two. There are never no gaurantees in life there are things that happen that changes things out of everyones control and it has never happened before there will be those things this year also.

This is absolutely sickening. Michael Ford is a complete stud. He was one of the lone bright spots in the spring game that the ESPN commentators were raving about. So what is Leslie going to do? He MIGHT give the guy a carry or two per game. Instead he'd rather run the senior with 2 busted knees up the middle for no gain over and over again until we accumulate multiple losses, then try Ford. Go figure, Les Miles underusing super talented young players.

by reports of multiple folks who have watched practice, and have no real agenda, Ford should be 3rd on the depth chart right now. I thought he would emerge as the leader, but it seems the other guys have won the job
