It wasn't the call. It was Guice.

I was talking about the Notre Dame game, but it's always someone else's fault besides the head coach, that's in charge, with this guy.

You're saying that the end of the Florida game wasn't 100% on Guice? He ran the wrong play. If he runs the right play he scores easily.

Mistakes are a result of lack of preparation, focus and/or discipline. Who is responsible for that? I will continue to say this in these situations, there's a reason that explayers who are now analysts say that well coached teams don't beat themselves. This isn't some new thing with Coach O. It's not just some hate tactic. Mike Greenberg used to repeat something Bill Parcells said, most games are lost, not won.

“100% on Juice”

College football games are normally composed of bout 120-140 total plays. Picking 1 play to blame as “100%” responsible for the game result is silly. imo

I mean, Krag was forced to step down with his disease and Ensminger had OC experience. I was actually shocked he didn’t take the position at the time. I’ll go ahead and say it, with him at OC we go 14-0 that year. Stud had keys to the mazarati and had no clue what to do with it.

Ensminger knew he wouldn't have the freedom to be his own man as OC under Miles. It didn't matter who the OC was under Miles. He wasn't going to abandon the Bo Schembechler offense. Power I formation, 1 TE, and 2 WR's. Run 70% pass 30%! Miles had OC Gary Crowton the disciple of Lavell Edwards at BYU, OC Cam Cameron that ran a Spread Offense with Antwaan Randle-El at Indiana, and Miles had Mike Gundy as his OC at Okla. State. Miles' himself kept LSU's offense in the dark ages with the Schembechler Power I, even after hiring OC's on staff that could have spread the field.

Yes they are. But you're implying it is completely impossible for a player to make a mistake on his own.

In other words, I don't believe Guice fricked up because he was poorly coached in that situation.

Through meticulous preparation, those moments are rare. And with a well prepared team they'll almost never happen in the high leverage moments.

I'm saying that no matter who the coach is, if a player runs the wrong way on the 1 yard line, with the game on the line, the coach is going to be blamed.

It's the same way with penalties. Do coaches jump offside or move early and cause a false start? No, but the coaches get the blame. It's the same in basketball with turnovers and fouls.

True but it is possible. I have to believe Guice knew the enormity of that situation and just went brain dead. But you could be right.

I know you think I want LSU to lose but the reality is we are going to lose a couple of games before mid year. If you don't think so you need to look at the schedule again.

It's why they play the games

Ensminger told O he didn't want it either, O had to talk him into it.

That's why I think its a bad move
