Most adult LSU Fans, Alums, Power Brokers and Season Ticker Holders fully realize this.
There are only a few stragglers in denial that are hanging on to the company line.
Believe us, "Lots of Stuff" is going on behind the scenes. (And has been for several years, not just recently) Just a matter of deciding the best course of action for the program.
Things are not going to stay as they are now. (As much as the program worshippers would love for the status quo to continue)......................

Young QBs can, and do, play very well for teams all across the country.

Not running a pro fricking offense.
you guys are putting way too much emphasis on the (alleged) complexity of our offense.
Assuming your argument is correct (which I don't agree with), then Cam's making a big mistake by having an overly complex offense that college QBs can't effectively run until their third or fourth year.
Either way, it ain't working.

OK I rewatched the presser. How is what he said any diff than saban? After the ole Miss game, saban said if I knew the reasons why this happened or we get a substitution penalty after a time out I wouldn't need to coach anymore. He didn't have the answers either
Alabama lost by 6 points with 5 turnovers. We got beat up and had our lunch money taken, twice. There's no comparison.

Couldn't agree more, but tell me: at the beginning of the season, who the hell else did we have to run this offense? This is the problem we've had from day one: no junior or senior who has had enough experience (except Mett, who flourished) to properly run Cam's offense.
I don't think the offense itself is necessarily overly complex. I think it just isn't easy to run with a young quarterback because it requires more football knowledge than a young quarterback may have. But I imagine next year and the year after, Harris will be better. If Franks can bide his time, he'll be a junior when he starts and have two years under him in the system before he has to perform in game. And if we can continue that pattern, we, hopefully, can at least have game managers. This is what Alabama has been able to do so successfully even after losing offensive talent.

But remember that seniority doesn't always equate to experience (especially under a new system). QBs can play well with little experience, even under a new system:
- Mett's senior year was his first year under Cam since Cam replaced Studrawa in January of that year
- For Bama, Blake Sims has virtually no experience AND was under a brand new OC last year (2014 was Kiffin's first year)
- Jake Coker transferred so has only been in Kiffin's system since May 2014, and this is his first year starting. He's doing fine.
Moral of the story - QBs can do well with little experience, even in a pro-style offense. Sure, it takes talent, but coaching is paramount. I think we can all agree that Blake Sims wasn't an elite talent, yet he took Bama to the playoffs in his first year taking any significant snaps AND under a brand new system.

Yet some on here actually believe Miles is in the top tier of SEC coaches. ?
Saban said the same thing after the ole Miss loss.

The worst, though, has to be Steele.
It's crazy to me that people are surprised about this. When they hired Steele, last year, I said to myself: "LSU has given up on LSU football." There can be no other explanation. Anyone who wants to win will try and hire the best available defensive coordinator. LSU's response: let's hire the guy who holds the record for giving up the most points in the Orange Bowl. I mean, West Virginia just fricking scored again, and we're hiring the Clemson D coordinator. After he had been fired by Clemson. And after he had been demoted by Saban from position coach to assistant position coach.
