after all these years he finally has his guy, a accurate passer with athletic ability when the pocket breaks down. Now let him play and gain confidence don't hold him back to much and make him think you have no confidence in him, and he starts to lose his confidence.

Mett did just fine. But he also cost us the OM game that year when the hand cuffs were off for a while

He threw for 3,000 yards. Go home buddy

The premise of your thread is false. It was Jennings who was in cuffs.

Mett wasn't mobile dumb arse! Harris can make all the throws and get out the pocket and make plays with his feet.

It won't happen. We'll not like alot would like.
LSU will not throw 50 times a game unless they are trailing by alot.
Miles is Miles. He will only throw wnough to get the lead then the rest will be on his oline, rbs and defense. That is his ans Cam's philosophy.

And here's the booking photo to prove it...

The mistakes Miles mentioned when evaluating Harris performance after the game included high throws across the middle to Smith (nice extended catch), to Dupre (into double coverage with the db waiting for the ball until Dupre snared it), and can't recall exactly when, maybe right before half, but Harris was either sacked or dropped for no gain and was shuffling the ball in his hands in an attempt to pitch or toss the ball with defenders draped on him. And the pass to Duore that was ruled incomplete had to be scooped off the turf. At that point with a lead Miles turned to the part of the offense he felt to that point showed it could score and keep possession of the ball. Harris was a little shakier than we want to believe. He did "manage" the offense well, stood in pocket when needed, scrambled when warranted. No pre snap penalties that I can remember nor wasted time outs. He showed some "command" of the offense as a whole but the "passing" element was reflective of his inexperience in live game SEC action to this point. But from all appearances the tools are there. GEAUX TIGAHS!!

if you're waiting for miles to turn harris loose, it's going to be a long season.

Mett DID throw for over 3,000 yards, which is why the other poster said, "Mett did fine, but...". His point was that when they truly took the handcuffs off, Mett blew the Ole Miss game almost single-handedly.
I'll add that when he had the chance to drive the field for victory, against a weak Georgia defense, he failed. Mett was a good, serviceable QB, not a great one.

Fortunately for LSU football, its players are more self confident than the average ranter. They don't hide under their beds at the first sign of adversity.

No one is perfect - he did exactly what was asked of him and we finally have a competent qb. It amazes me that all the talk is "he's still untested, and we'll see how he holds up in real pressure games. He led the team to victory over a damn good State team.
JJ has thrown 5 interceptions in his first 2 games - 5! That's what I'd call shaky, but the pundits all seem to think he'll come out of that funk and still be a star.
The country will get proof of the legit Brandon Harris very soon and will realize that LSU is a force to be reckoned with - watch what he does against the Barn.
'Bout to be a bloodbath in Death Valley.

How can you say definitively that we found our qb? He threw the ball for 75 yards last week. Now we saw signs that he may be the answer but I don't think anyone can say for sure yet

LSU has one of the top 5 running backs in the nation, an outstanding O line, the absolutely deepest running back stable in the country and you idiots want to take the ball away from then so you can see your X-Box fantasy on the field.
