So whats to say they dont trend up over the last 4-5 games?

Ware is our #1 the other guys are going to have to share carries.

I understand the breaking one, but the quickest way down the field is to pass. Demps and rainey can break them too, but uf lacks a power run game and it is hurting them.

Id rather be up by 20 pts and just pound the clock out.

i think we should use him at RB more

I guess he is just in the dog house too.

no. our coaches still think, for whatever reason, that he's a WR

Miles just likes aggressive, physical backs. He always has. KW5 and For both have the bodies to be physical, but theyr not. IMO, that is why Miles plays: Ware, Blue, Ridley, Scott, etc.

Doesn't play: Ford, WIlliams, Murphy, etc. as much

there was no reason for them to have trended down in the first place

his fumble isn't even an excuse, b/c ware and blue have fumbled as well

Ford is a legend, if only Miles wouldn't hold him back.

He's shined this year when he was given a chance. One dropped ball shouldn't bench him.

Hell, if that's the case, bench all the receivers

If you are a starter who is counted on then you are not going out for dropping a ball on the ground. Look at Ridley versus North Carolina last year. Ford is not a Les Miles style of running back. I would not be surprised to see Hilliard get himself in shape next year and overtake all the back-ups to back up Ware next year. Magee, Ford, and Gore are not fits for a Les Miles offense. Blue is a fit but not as much as Hilliard will be when he has another year in Moffit's conditioning program. I don't know why these smaller backs sign to play for Miles? Smaller backs are a fit for Oregon not LSU.

Im arguing this dog house shite. The coaches play who they feel is best. Just cus blue gets more touches than ford one game, doesnt mean ford is in the dog house.

I agree they should use shep more, but when we are constantly up, just run the ball 99 yds take 10 mintues off the clock and take the victory.

ford is not a small RB. he's almost assuredly over 200 lbs. probably more like 210-215

Against kentucky we were resting ware, and blues house just burnt down. Maybe a reason why Miles gave him a lot more carries than usual. That game was not going to be lost by lsu, our 4th team could beat them.

Obviously the coaches liked what they saw. so instead of ware/ford now you have Ware Ford/Blue.

Miles don't have this doghouse vendetta. We just have a group of know it alls on the Rant who like to trumpet certain players, ignoring their obvious faults, and blame it on the coaches. Also, they love speed backs over power backs, in contrast to our coaching staff. Call it Keiland Disease.

Williams didn't play much not because Miles hated him, but because he wasn't that effective when he did play.

Ford also had an injury, which hurt his playing time. I like Ford a lot as well, but he's definitely a boom or bust kind of runner. He also is pretty horrid in pass blocking. I mean, just horrid. I'd like him to play more, but I'm hardly outraged by it. But I'm not so delusional that I think I know more about LSU's roster than Miles.

Ford isn't exactly a small back. He just plays like one.

nobody is ignoring ford's lack of elite pass blocking

i don't think anybody is going to confuse alfred blue with a power back

like against VT in 2007?

like ware yesterday (with a relative "boom")?

But why use him when we are just burning clock? I dont need to see lsu win by 70 points to know we are atleast the 2nd best team in the country.

Yes, Keiland had one great game in 4 years. He had an awesome run in that game, too. and people, ok YOU, clung to that game for four years no matter how clear it became that the VT game was the outlier, not the rest of his career.

You get obsessed with players and refuse to change your opinion regardless of the changing data. Look, I loved Craig Loston and thought he was gonna be a star. I was wrong. I've adjusted my expectations for the guy, instead of believing there is some criminal misuse of his talents.
