Said you assholes are the ones that don't tear up when the Tigers take the field. And you're not the ones that sing the Alma Mater at the end of the game cause you're not even there. Basically calling y'all shitty fans and I agree with him.

Is that what he said? I understood it in regards to the "other institution that had hard times fans not booing"....saying that those other fans aren't the ones that show up, cry, cheer, etc. Saying that the passion here does not exist elsewhere and with that passion you will get 2500 knuckleheads that will boo...

Incorrect, he said that in stadiums where there isn't booing (which is the lowest depth of negativity) there also isn't the sincere passion and love for a team and institution that is found in Tiger Stadium and that he has come to understand the extreme showings of emotion here.

I think you missed his reference. When he talked about people who did not tear up when the Tigers took the field, etc., he was referring to a group of fans from another team who did not boo when their team was not doing well. He went on to say that he still did not understand the need to boo, but respected the passion for the program that drove that type of reponse...and that he preferred his fan base to have the passion that spawned a few knuckelheads.

people who boo are many times the people who care the most because they get so frustrated by the shite happening on the field and know it could be better.
