He got that information from Dandy Don. Maybe off of the LSU Website???
Below is information on the scrimmage released by LSU.
“The emphasis was on short yardage and first and 10, but we wanted to look at some specific players,” LSU coach Les Miles said following the workout. “Specifically we wanted to see the tailbacks run and we wanted to see the young fullbacks.
The offense rushed 35 times for 163 yards which averages out to be about 4.5 average per carry Stevan Ridley rushed for 52 yards on six carries, including a long run of 33 yards. Senior Richard Murphy followed with 45 yards on six carries, while true freshman Spencer Ware added 29 yards on eight carries.
“I felt like Steven Ridley came out fast and I like the way Murphy ran,” Miles said. “The freshmen runners are certainly talented and need some work, but they are elusive and they are big and strong and very capable.”
In the passing game, Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee combined to complete 10 of 18 passes for 145 yards and one touchdown. Lee engineered a scoring drive late in the scrimmage, completing passes of 23 and 42-yards to true freshman James Wright. The 42-yard completion went for a score for the Tigers. I am very disappointed that there was no stats on Zach Lee.
“We didn’t light up the numbers on offense, but there was a lot that was accomplished,” Miles said. “We didn’t want to air it out today, we wanted to run the football and we ran it pretty well.
“Both quarterbacks played well at times. The defense is awfully good against the pass; those corners had some really good days.”
Wright led the receivers with 65 yards on two catches, while Terrence Toliver added 21 yards on two receptions and Russell Shepard 18 yards on one catch.
Cornerback Patrick Peterson led the Tiger defense with four tackles and an interception against the No. 1 offense, which he returned 64-yards for a touchdown. Other leaders on defense for the Tigers included safety Craig Loston with a team-best five tackles; Drake Nevis with a sack for an 8-yard loss; Kelvin Sheppard with four tackles and sack; Kendrick Adams with three tackles, including two for losses and true freshman cornerback Tyrann Mathieu with four tackles and two pass breakups.
“We forced some turnovers on the defensive side,” Miles said. “Young Tyrann Mathieu had several breakups in the two minute segment on the back end of the practice.”
In special teams, Derek Helton and Brad Wing each punted twice. Helton averaged 46.2 yards on his two kicks, while Wing posted a 46.5 average on his two punts. Helton booted a long of 57 yards, while Wing’s long went for 51 yards.
“We are 11 practices in and I like what we’ve been able to accomplish,” Miles said. “I like their effort and the intensity that this team brings to the field each day. We finished today with six sprints and they ran hard on every one.
“I feel like we have accomplished some things to a point. We need for this team to continue to bring the same effort and attitude to work each day. I think we are going to get there.”
LSU will take Sunday off and then practice twice on Monday. LSU’s next scrimmage is slated for Thursday afternoon in Tiger Stadium.

Here is a story on from LA, Cali about Zack Lee.
LINK
I wish the ones who start these threads would at least make a thread on the truth and not an out right lie. All it took was to look in the Advocate and then do a search for Steve Henson of Yahoo Sports and you would have found the story, that is the way I found it.
Now You have both stories read and make a reasonable take from what you read not from what you think will happen.
I want him to stay but all you that want Miles gone are hoping against the team gaining anything this year so that Miles get's canned. To me that is stupid and crazy. I am an LSU Fan, not a Miles fan or a Zack Lee fan and there is no Coach or player bigger than the LSU Program as a whole. if things are bad enough the right decisions will be made to correct them.
I SAY!

The Dodgers insist they are intent on locking up the 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher from McKinney (Texas) High School. They believe Lee’s clean mechanics, command of three pitches and superior feel for pitching make him an especially good gamble not only to become a major league pitcher but to enjoy a long and successful career.
All that will be conveyed to Lee, who will need convincing to give up a budding career as a quarterback at LSU. His football potential is the reason he fell to the Dodgers at the No. 28 spot in the first round of the June draft. No other team felt he would turn his back on LSU, where he plans on playing baseball as well.

If this statement is true then where did this one come from?
I like reading things that are truthful about this coming season because I love LSU sports but I do not like reading untruths.
If this statement is true then where did this one come from?
quote:
The bright spot among the quarterbacks might’ve been freshman Zach Lee.
Miles said the 6-foot-4 freshman “got some snaps” and made a strong impression with a nice cut on an option run and 30-yard pass that should’ve been a touchdown.
“He really can throw it, he’s really bright and he’s got great moxie,” Miles said.
“He understands the position pretty well. He’d be a guy who will compete to play snaps this fall.”
The idea of redshirting the strong-armed Texan was also waved off by Miles. He said that was originally an option until Lee showed up and proved he was closer to ready than a typical freshman.
Lee’s status could change any time, of course, depending on what kind of financial offer the Los Angeles Dodgers make him in the next few days.
The Dodgers picked Lee with the 28th pick in the first round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft and have until 2 a.m. Tuesday to come to financial terms with him. Lee said last week he hadn’t heard from the Dodgers since draft day.
That will change soon. Steve Henson of Yahoo.com wrote Friday that Lee “is going to get a substantial offer before Monday’s signing deadline.”
Miles said he plans to visit with Lee soon about his looming decision.
“He’s going to have to put the priority on education and playing championship baseball and football and what he wants to do with his life,” Miles said.

Is it not too hard to believe that the other 2 qb's need as much practice as possible to prepare them for the season ahead?

Or it could be that Miles and ZL are both smart enough to realize that throwing anoother new QB into the fire would not be beneficial to eitehr ZL or the team.
That was a freak accident for J Lee and he was able to handle it, zach could be different

Z Lee staying at LSU, just talked to my sources in Pittsburgh who are in the know....the same ones who said all along that Van Rosenberg would sign....sit tight, however cecchini and gausman are going to sign......enjoy the next 48 hrs!

Could not agree more. Not one pass? Who out there feels good about ZL staying now?

REad my post from earlier - It came from Dandy Don's page today. I read DD first and was pissed. then I read the advocate. There seems to be some conflicting information from 2 sources.

Either Miles and Zach Lee are tight and Zach has him convinced that he is a Tiger no matter what, or Miles does not understand that he needed to orchestrate an opportunity for Zach in the scrimmage. Or Lee is a goner and has told Miles as much, which flies totally in the face of all Zach has said.
So now Zach sees 1) he basically was not given any opportunity to show he was the man in the last scrimmage before his huge decision for him and LSU's future, and 2) will see millions, at least 2.5-3 M, flashed in front of him....both at the 11th hour prior to the 12/16 deadline decision.
Miles is once again either foolishly cavalier, knows Lee is a goner, is just not "with it", or will look like a smart gambler with pocket aces.
This is such a terrible take on this situation that it really doesn't even warrant a reply.

There were definitely stats that were not presented..... or, someone provide the answer to this... the numbers don't add up! 8 completions, but only 6 passes caught?
Passing
Jarrett Lee 4-for-9, 82 yards, 1 TD
Jordan Jefferson 4-for-9, 63 yards, 1 Int.
Receiving
James Wright 2 rec., 65 yards, 1 TD
Terrence Toliver 2 rec., 21 yards
Russell Shepard 1 rec., 18 yards
Deangelo Peterson 1 rec., 18 yards

seldom are complete stats released for a scrimmage, and they're basically meaningless in a situational scrimmage any way.

Obviously the statistician takes stats like the staff keeps up with time on the clock.
That being said, everyone needs to calm down, the team has the talent to be very good and suprise a lot of people.
But it really comes down to proper play calling and proper execution on the field.
This is where we had trouble the last two years. Hopefully we will pick it up this year.

Great post! My exact feelings. Some of these guys hate Miles so much, they can't root for LSU because Tigers' success may mean Miles will continue to coach.
When LSU wins,it's because of talent. If they lose,it's Miles' fault.Yet,they give passes to Pete "the cheat" Carroll,Bob Stoops and Mack Brown for under achieving with young, first yr QBs. JJ was not mentally ready to play last year. He was proclaimed by the Miles' bashers last yr to be second only to Tebow prior to the season. The coaches were bashed because JJ didn't live up to the Rant's expectations.
USC and Oklahoma didn't do much with much better and more highly recruited first yr QBs than JJ,yet they get a pass.I wish Tigers would have had Barkley or Jones last yr.
The Miles' bashers enjoy Tiger losses so they can come here and bash the coaches.
Miles' coached teams have soundly defeated Miami,Notre Dame,Ohio State and Ga Tech in bowl games. No other coach in history of LSU football has done so well.
I root for the Tigers regardless of the coach. I have never hated any LSU coach.Since I'm not at practice,I'm not going to may uninformed posts about who should be starting. How can you do so unless you are at practice?
Bama won last yr with 7 seniors on defense recruited by Shula.Saban's highly rated recruits were back ups or red shirting to gain strenghth and knowledge to compete in SEC.Yes,Saban prefers upperclassmen as does every coach.
Hoping for much better QB play this year and a SEC championship!

Nice post but I am afraid that you are pissing into the wind. The Miles Bashers are so blinded by their hatred and have so much of their own self worth invested in getting him fired that nothing will satisfy them or change their opinions.

no doubt...but there are big question marks with respect to Crowton, the QB's and the OLine leftover from last year, and most fans (regardless of their view of Miles) are very anxious to see if these questions are being answered.
