Hopefully there's a team in the NFL that loves the jet sweep. Sad that's all he was able to do during his LSU career.

I think proved he's fast enough and good enough of an athlete to be a solid special teamer and backup slot WR.

If anything NFL teams should like its how fresh and unused LSU WRs are.

Sad that you're too much of a mushbrain to remember or appreciate his immense contributions on offense and special teams.

If Russell Shepherd is making it in the league, so can Russell Gage.

In right offense he can flourish and special teams will keep him around just like Russell Shepard.
It's not his fault Miles had him buried on the depth chart at CB - O deserves some credit for getting him involved and he was a solid special teams guy with untapped WR potential. I do give Miles credit for recruiting him since he was a late add to the class once LSU missed on some higher targets.

That wasn't a shot at Gage. Quite the opposite actually. It was a comment on how underutilized he was with his skill set.

I've said for a while now that Gage is going to have a really long NFL career. He's exactly what teams want in a 4th or 5th WR. A guy who can make some plays on offense when needed and is a beast on special teams.

Good for Gage.

The WR position isn't like a RB that's getting pounded 20-25 times a game so that doesn't really matter

Honestly I think teams will get great value on Gage, Williams, and Lacatoure. All guys who probably go in the mid rounds that can at least be solid rotational guys that bring different talents.

He’s a better James Wright, who has carved out a nice career for himself after a relatively quiet LSU career.

As a Saints fan, I think he's exactly the sort of end of roster player they'd love to have.

One of the best special team players. Pro teams need special team players as well.

Nice job russell Gage for making the most of the opportunity Coach O gave him. Put him in the starting lineup almost immediately after accepting the interim job and Gage just took off from there.

He is an elite athlete, size decent, and all around speed, explosiveness, etc.

Cream rises to the top, and he was deserves the credit he is getting.
