Careful--there are numerous Bible-thumpers who are STRONG LSU fans and graduates. And there are Bible-thumpers who play on LSU's teams.
If the Bible says the world will know Christians by the "love of the brethren," and that treating the "least of these" with respect and honor, we see little fruit from a statement like this attributed to him. He should have said he dislikes the sinful behavior of LSU fans, but, then, many fans of Arkansas and other teams are sinners ("all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"), though forgiven. A truly forgiven person should surely exhibit the greatest amount of forgiveness (70 times 7). I am an LSU fan who can fellowship with Christian fans from ANY other team, and hopefully exhibit a sweet reasonableness which Jesus would. Geaux Tigers!!!

I worked in Arkansas for 4 years and had to deal with Mike Huckleberry. He is the most deceitful Baptist Minister I ever had to deal with and there are many I had to work with during that time.
His wife was marketing director for a aluminum siding company and they lived in a double-wide while the mansion was being renovated. I just come back from taking a Mike Huckabee and watched as it went around the bowl and down the hole!

Easy to explain. This is when Huckabee weighed 300 lbs so (maybe I should say soo) Arkansas fans naturally refered to him as the " Big Hog ".
In Tuscaloosa the Bamer fans called him a disgusting pig. Not nice, but not life threatening !!
When he arrived @ Tiger Stadium he felt very uncomfortable with all English speaking Tigers " Tiger Baiting " him and especially the Cajun Catholic faction looking at him as if he were a savory dish. All of them were calling him the same french name. When he found out what COCHON meant he new it was time to leave.
To Mr. Piggy, Bama is the lesser & safer of 2 evils.
