That's Miles-code-speak for easing Jennings into the #1 spot. Trust me on this. If he starts Harris, it would be an admission he was wrong for the entire 2014 season (except one game) - so he must continue that reasoning in order to save face. Miles is a creature of habit.

Mike D is a blowhard clown show. He runs his mouth recklessly with no cohesion or thought to what he says. He just blurts out gibberish constantly. He's terrible. I'd rather listen to anyone but him. That includes Finebaum

I don't think Harris is the better runner. He's probably faster. But, within the tackles Jennings is probably better.

Harris is absolutely the better runner as well.

Jennings brings nothing to the run game and he takes far too many sacks. Jennings had ZERO rushing TDs playing majority in every single game..

Harris in very limited action had 3 rushing TDs.. to go along with his 6 passing TD's bringing him to a total of accounting for 9 TDs last season. Think about that.. Jennings only accounted for 12 total TDs.. THAT'S 3 MORE TDs.. and he played in far more games including a bowl game..

Harris is much more elusive, and when he needs to break one past the goal line he can muscle through it.

Look up his history before he became an analyst.
Pretty sure he worked for the water district in Lafourche Parish if I'm not mistaken.

He totally created the "analyst" position on his own and marketed himself.

Seriously.

yup. much of it is intentional also. I think miles would not tell the media a damn thing if he didn't have to. so he tells them confusing things.

Bo Bounds was doing his normal bashing of LSU on ESPN Jackson, saying that no way that LSU can win 10 games with their QB. Said they were likely an 8-4 team again, citing losses to Miss State, Ole Miss, Alabama, and either Arkansas or Auburn. Says he sees State beating LSU by at least a possession. Of course, Bo Eliminated LSU from SEC contention about 2 months ago, along with Arkansas...lol...yet he has State and Ole Miss squarely in the middle of the race.

I called in to tell/ask him why he was underestimating LSU so much, and asked if he realized that LSU returned 16 starters, many of which are future 1st round draft picks...and that they will be improved in every area, and that even if QB is exactly the same, the team would be better than the team that came within a few seconds of beating Bama and winning 9 games. I also mentioned that all reports are that BH is pulling away from Jennings and that he is significantly more comfortable with the playbook this year. Also asked why he was giving State so much credit after only returning 7 starters. I hung up.

He didn't address State, but he said again that no way they can win 10 games with BH at QB after what he saw against Auburn (as if a TF can't improve) and that Mike Detilier has promised that there will be a 2 QB system anyway. He also re-affirmed that LSU couldn't/wouldn't beat State. Their schedule is too difficult...after the call he did say that it's possible they win 9.

Looking very forward to the State/LSU game. State fans do not honestly realize what they are in store for. They think they are just reloading and will beat LSU. This will be the first time in a while LSU is fired up for State.....much like they were fired up for Ole Miss for the first time in a long time this past year (game they should have won by 3 scores minus the 4 huge turnovers).

Everyone knows what you stand for on this site, and it's a joke. But do you honestly ever think before you post?

What makes you think he was wrong last year? BH couldn't run the offense. What part of that is so hard for you to understand.....plus he got hurt later. Trust me on this....Miles wanted to play Harris. Harris wasn't ready.

He plays up to the audience that he has bigtime. Bo Bounds has him on his show all the time and he just raves about State and Ole Miss....and does not talk highly at all of LSU......kind of funny really. I don't know if you remember, but Mike D, after the Auburn game, went on record to say that LSU would not go to a bowl game last year, and that they would be very lucky to go 1-7 in the SEC. Talk about knee-jerk.

He really is a tool, as you say.

I enjoy reading his interviews with Scott Long, but only because I'm starved for news. Last week he discussed LSU's DE position and never mentioned Deondre Clark or Sionne Teuhema.

An earlier poster asked how did MD get to be an analyst in demand. I think by doing a lot of homework, being VERY available, and by occassionally being controversial. GG is too often controversial, which is why he is considered a buffoon. MD keeps the buffoonery to a level just high enough to stay relevant.

There is no reason to play Jenning if Harris can run the offense

Yes there is. You make a good point about the QBs being stylistically similar, but you miss something that fans often misunderstand about college ball - they don't get enough practice time. So, if you want to install a lot, you need to use different personnel.

Contrary to what most LSU fans think, the Tigers have a complex offense. This is why the freshman LF got so few carries last year, it's because each week he probably only had about 60% of the game plan mastered. Similarly, this year there might be some packages that BH won't be good at, so they might alternate in AJ every now and then when they think they need that package to exploit the defense.

Didn't he let RP play every 3rd series back in 2007 when MF was the starter and then in a lot of goal line situations because of his running ability.

Spurrier does same thing. What happens if AJ transfers ?? Harris team and if he plays well AJ won't see many snaps. Maybe a package here and there. Wildcat with a playaction deep threat. Aj is bigger and can throw a pretty deep ball. Wouldn't read too much into this. Miles selling dreams because we're damned if AJ bounces.

I agree with you PEEJ, but he's kinda got a point about Mike D.
