Seriously, what is the purpose?
Several reasons. One would be the candidate leaking it to get a raise. The school may leak it to draw media attention from the real candidate, especially if said candidate still has a World Series to coach in or they may leak it to get a pulse on public opinion. I’m sure they probably have other reasons too.

This is a valid point. Also recall reading up on Woodward when he got hired - one of his abilities was he knew how to play the political game - and It seemed like it was in ref to LA politics. Of course we could go down all kinds of trails with what is possibly going on - appeasing the old guard (no disrespect to Bertman) yet in doing so - getting a good sampling on the blow back a Bianco hire would receive and shite like that.
But one thing to me - if it does turn out - that he made a hire based on anything other than what is the best fit/candidate for LSU baseball - then I will be very disappointed, and not very optimistic about anything in the future - namely football program.

A buddy of mine played ball for Bianco and has said that he flew back yesterday from Arizona and has exit meetings today on campus with players. I think it’s a smoke screen for Woodward to get his guy.

Yeah I'm not buying the he's been on campus for an interview unless he took the red eye from Tucson.
