Mickey is a great skilled player but he needs to toughen up. He cannot play a physical game. He was getting pushed around and banged on the entire game.

My opinion: if Bridgewater had replaced him, we would have won the game.

Not going to say we would've have won, but Bridgewater should have stayed in in place of Mickey as soon as Martin came back on the floor.

Mickey needs to bulk up. Gets pushed around too much.

Mickey and Hornsby play more minutes in SEC play than anyone else. Eventually that catches up.

They are 20 years old, not 35.
It's not going to catch up with them unless they become Kobe Bryant or Lebron James and are 35+ years old.

He looks tired. Like a player who has played nearly every minute of every game so far and is expected to play nearly every minute even in a blowout.

SEC Conference Play minutes per game:

1 37.385 Keith Hornsby Jr 6-4 210 13 LSU
2 37.077 Jordan Mickey So 6-8 235 13 LSU

3 36.917 Keith Shamburger Sr 5-11 170 12 Missouri
4 36.462 Josh Richardson Sr 6-6 200 13 Tennessee
5 35.846 Levi Randolph Sr 6-5 208 13 Alabama
6 34.462 Jarell Martin So 6-10 236 13 LSU
7 34.333 Riley LaChance Fr 6-2 194 12 Vanderbilt
8 34.231 Danuel House Jr 6-7 195 13 Texas A&M
9 34.077 Tim Quarterman So 6-6 187 13 LSU
10 33.923 Alex Caruso Jr 6-5 183 13 Texas A&M

What an embarrassing loss. If Mickey doesn't nut up and throw the ball out of bounds with a minute left we probably win. Have some damn composure!!! This team does know how to act like winners and close out. Truly embarrassing.

The play at the end of the half where he gave up on the play and let A&M get a easy basket to end the half was terrible.

Remember, these guys play an "82" game regular season not "30".
Many times they play back to back nights. Let's get off the minutes played thing.

They need to bench him and put in players who actually want to play. He is losuy. If the team played with the energy of Hornsby, we'd be pretty good

You act like these guys are playing back-to-back NBA games in different cities. These guys are 18-21 years old and in great physical condition. I promise you, if they weren't playing organized basketball, they would be playing pick up games for 3-4 hours a day, every day.

Mickey wasn't tired from long season, he just didn't bring it last night. It sucks, it was poor timing, but it happens sometime.

Was his play a big part of the reason LSU lost last night? Absolutely. However, I'm not going to shite on a guy (like everybody else in this thread) who is generally LSU's best player every night, every game, and who is on the short list for SEC POY. He has big time numbers in this league. It was just horrible timing for him to have his worst game. If we're going to dump on Mickey, why not say something about his more naturally talented frontcourt mate who disappears and the end of games, every game.

Wow!! You don't just "show up" and average 17ppg; 11 rpg; and nearly 4bpg (leading the NATION by the way). He had a very poor game. If we're going to bench LSU's best player, then why not do the same to a guy who had 11 points early in the first half to keep his team in it then ABSOLUTELY NOTHING the rest of the game (i.e. that was Hornsby last night)
