Man the Pats love them some LSU running backs

I would actually think that Ware would be a better fit for the Pats offense. Good luck to both guys.

He would be. Ware is actually a perfect fit for the Pats offense. I could see him taking Woodhead's spot behind Ridley.

One of my best friends was an all American wide receiver at LSU and played in the NFL a long time, but I don't give updates every other day about him. The fact you posts about him on a blog tells me you are probably a friend of a friend

Lsunv
You really trying to bash this man over something this small. Who cares who he gets it from, it's info about a tiger so I don't see the problem. You sound like the one trying to impress people by saying your best friend was an all American.

That's why they're my AFC team

I really hope he doesn't end up in Atlanta. I hate rooting against former Tigers.

Get a grip fella! All I was saying is that I am sure at this point they are keeping things hush. Noob

Ford is more similar to Woodhead than Ware. Ware is more of a bruiser.

While Ware is more of a bruiser, that doesn't exclude him from being more like Woodhead. Ware is infinitely better as a receiver out of the backfield, and Ware was one of our best blocking RB's we've had the last couple of years. Both of which were attributable to Woodhead's value to the Patriots over the last couple of years.
Also, even though Ware is a bruiser, he still is better in space, and at change of direction than Ford, who is a more straight line speedster, than the multiple speed, multiple direction, multidimensional player that Ware is.
All of this, IMO, of course.

Already have Vereen ready to explode in that role so slow your roll
These visits mean very little. A lot of it is draft posturing, and just getting more info on some guys to complete their scouting report (like Ford who had limited reps in college)

I really don't see Ware adding a change of pace to Ridley other than having better hands. Ford provides the East-West running style that Ridley does not excel at. They have their big North-South backs in Ridley and Bolden at the top of their depth chart and their pass-catcher is now Shane Vareen after Woodhead is gone. I can see Ford bumping Jeff Demps from the roster to become the home run threat.

Jeff Demps will be gone by the start of the season
Vereen/Ridley/Bolden will be the workhorses. Leon Washington is the return man and emergency RB.
Ford would be playing STs with the Pats. But again i doubt the Pats sniff a RB in the draft
