He’s only pitching if we have a late lead ……if then . You people need to accept that. "

Get the hell outta here with this drivel. You don't know any more than any one else on this MESSAGE BOARD.

My guess is Cauble is being the useful idiot “leaking” wrong info. Taking one for the team

Everyone is available so you can take him out early if you need to, but there is a chance he can steal some outs for you if he's on. And the lowest leverage spot to put him in as at the very beginning of the game.

Either way, the bats are going to have to do damage.

You just said in 3 sentences what I said in 3 long paragraphs in each of my 3 posts. Let’s hope our arms are a lot more efficient than my words. I just can’t help myself when I’m so nervous with so much time before 1st pitch. Got the nervous posts and poots.

But even if all our pitchers shove, our bats are gonna have to break out. 4 runs isn’t winning this game for either team.
well said. -100% agree. Gotta get some big time offense.

Why not start herring.. he was solid.. Coleman on the other hand shite the bed

Again, I think you’ve got to assume Cooper is out. So if Jay thinks Coleman is going to have to get a handful of outs from Coleman to get to 27, doing it in the lowest leverage inning like Project said, with a clean start in the shadows, probably gives him the best chance for success.

And Coleman has started games while Herring has been a pen guy all year. He’s no doubt better, but if the bases are loaded with 1 out and Cags up, I trust Herring to be able to come in and get out of that jam like he did the other day. Then let him go as long as he’s effective, then go to Hurd and Skenes to hopefully finish it out.

Herring is better and will likely pitch much longer than Coleman, but if we need Coleman to steal a couple of innings, starting is probably the way to put him in the best position to do it. I’m not saying I would do it or that Jay is going to, but I would understand his thinking if he does.
