... I don't think that he does. He may be stronger, but TM7 was special. I ready to see Micah as well as the rest of the talent on this amazing team. But there is a reason Tyrann got the shine that he did.

Yeah, chief used him wisely. Scheme was 50%. Brooks had the same type of impact plays on defense when given a chance. Micah now gets that chance.
Have you seen him play before?

He'll probably be good but to say he'll be as good as TM is absurd. That's a talent you don't see too often

Often overlooked by the board. The position had a lot to do with TM7's success. I think we'll miss his punt returning abilities and getting the team pumped up the most. His absence does expose our younger corners but I think our schedule sets up nicely for those guys.
eta. I don't think Eugene will be as good as Mathieu. He's one of the best ever to put on the purple and gold.

I love the optimism, but to think there is anything to this other than hope is foolish.
Tyrann Matheiu is a once in a generation player with regards to football instincts, and to think that someone with zero experience is similarly equipped is very short sighted

Yeap. I expect him to play cb, and martin to take over for loston if he cant get healthy.
We're in trouble if this happens.
And yes, I've seen both of them play.
Eugene will get burned at corner.

Who said he should play corner? I said he's quick enough to guard slot guys. Why do you think he had a locked up spot in dime pre-friday? Chavis said expect a lot of dime this year. Eugene was the reason why.
Now he will get a much sooner chance.

If so, this won't be the 1st time that my LSU dreams have been shattered...I remember thinking that with Josh Maravich, Jamal Harrison & Adam Walton all being on the team at the same time, that LSU basketball would be a dynasty.

Ok coach. So what have you saw from loston to think he's the best safety opposite Reid?

Is this Jai's brother? If so i hope he doesnt turn out like him....Expected to be this small badass and all he was good for was pumping up the sideline. But he was good at that.

Brooks ripped the ball out of guys' arms, secured the football, then ran in for TDs when he got the chance?

so you are writing off loston.......
Loston cant even stay healthy through preseason practices.
And I think what the OP meant was that Eugene is very similar player to TM7. Not saying his instincts are on TM level, but the way he plays will look similar and I agree with that.

Loston will be a beast. We just all need to understand this and stop fighting it.

I expect big things from this kid. Not the HB-type stuff, but a playmaker nonetheless...

I hear he has a similar style of game, but if he was that good he would have played last year.
