why are we determined to win the game without the forward pass?

Lee was nearly perfect in his passing attempts.

And just so everyone will know. All passes are forward otherwise it isn't a pass it would be a lateral.

But the "take our lumps" argument is retarded. You play to win the game--this year!! You don't position yourself for next year
i kinda agree. but--- i do believe mett is the better QB and gives us a better chance to win, this year.

we'll win 10 games this year on D alone. why not take the shot with the better QB? try to win 14 games??

Have you ever heard of a team that many say have a legitimate shot at playing for the title this year saying nah lets say frick this year and prepare for the next 2 years. That is just stupid. So all the teams who don't have a shot at playing for the national title should start freshmen QB's over fresh/soph QB's?

I will say that I was impressed with Metts poise and how he played. Also since he runs the option CLM may eventually elevate him to #1 QB b/c we know he likes the option

Yeah, I'm not totally convinced Mett doesn't give us the best chance to win this year. But the "take our lumps" argument is retarded. You play to win the game--this year!! You don't position yourself for next year. Blackwell, Baker, Taylor, Adams, Peterson, and even Lee have worked way too hard to just "take our lumps" yo make a run the next 2 years. Play the guy who gives us the best chance to win RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, I don't get the argument either. It is like people think you have to be terrible before you are good. Newton had 12 career pass attempts in D1 football before starting last year. McElroy had 20 before starting in Bama's national championship year.

watch the games. the playbook is sooo simple b/c we dont want the QB to kill us. we might as well put ware under center and completely run the ball everytime.

lee's passing wont win the BCS title this year

agree 100%. Mett might give us a better chance this year though. Lee should start, but you can't tell me you don't want to see what Mett can do against and SEC caliber D. I really want to see him get a series or two in the next few games.

Most misleading stat ever. I'm looking forward to rewatching the game tomorrow and reiterating how much of an idiot you are.

Arm Talent? QB Pedigree? Yes he can throw the ball well, but QB Pedigree? Do you work for ESPN?

its northwestern state. theres nothing on the line. we knew we'd win by 6.5 TDs. our QB looking timid against northwestern state isnt a good sign

This!!!

In all my years as a fan, student and Alum I have heard this crap.

I think Mett will be our starter one day. Let's let Miles make the decision when as he is the head coach.
