I've got no problem with any specific playcalls, as that hasn't been the problem with the offense. It's been the palpable sense of confusion they have at all times and complete lack of identity. It's an offense that if one play goes wrong, it has no idea how to bounce back from it. 2nd and long just seemed like an automatic punt.

And my biggest gripe was the red zone offense. Fix that and the points will come. Obviously. But the team was terrible inside the 20 last year.

Considering that Mettenburger constantly overthrew wide open receivers deep I'm not sure that's a good thing.

Typical rant troll... You post your one liner that's played out like American flag t shirts and then roll out

Nail on the head. Our D played well enough for us to win every game last year IMO. I know we lose a lot of talent off of that D, but with Chavis in charge of the talent we have....I just can't see much of a drop off there. If Cam comes in and gives us what would even be considered an average to good offense we will be extremely hard to beat.

Well, that many were pissed because we should have been doing it vs. Towson, N. Texas, Idaho; Mett being a 1st year starter never got a rhythm against the tougher SEC teams

It's gonna be bittersweet if this offense blows up and Cam Cameron is gone after one year.

When Krag came in we heard the terminology wouldn't change. This is Cam's offense

Mett's going to have to pull it togther.....he definitely seemed like a cat who favors a more deliberate pace on offense. Of course that could just be his inexperience showing last year.

I disagree, I think he responds better when pressed with the hurry up, he seems to get lazy/unmotivated with the long breaks.. like ADD or something.

Slowing down is natural and easy if that is what the game situation dictates. Knowing how to operate at a higher speed takes practice and sharpens the focus for alignment, etc.

I like the drill even if we don't always run at the higher speed.

You can't blame the D for the bama loss, they played well enough to win that game, the offense didn't put the points on the board (7's vs 3's) & couldn't convert that crucial 3rd down. The offense was never able to slam the door shut last year thus too many close games & putting it all on a defense that eventually gave up a play. Just like the Florida game, the way the D played, we should have won that game, offense couldn't do anything & those 3 & outs wore out the defense.

only time will tell, but Mett doesn't impress me as the kind of qb who will thrive in a full time up-tempo offense. as a change of pace I think it worked fairly well, and that is a good sign, but Mett struggled with his reads and if they are not simplified then what is the advantage?

if Cam is installing the offense of the future for Jennings and Rettig then this makes alot of sense. as long as we don't change personnel then we keep the other guys from adjusting and hopefully can force them to burn their to's.

get better...and quicker it seems.

I think u guy's worry too much. I think it will work fine! It's mostly up to Mett to step up & live up to his expectation. I also think Lsu's offense will be a lot better than last year. We are sure going to need it after losing what we did on defense! I have about heard enough about the short side option. What are u smoking?

Sure you can, and no they didn't. Had they did, we would have won.

I can explain the short side option for you. It is the dumbest frocken play in football. You are welcome.

last year-you force your defense back on the field without much rest-which was a major problem last year.

Hence the need for more depth.
