frick Mel and the stag he rode in on..

Mel Kiper who famously said Peyton Manning would be a bust in the NFL and that Ryan Leaf was a can't miss star.....I don't really trust anything he says.

Mel and Les: the kings of keeping jobs despite rarely getting anything correct.

None of these media guys give two shits about LSU. Booger McFarland does, and he has no loyalty to Les and he pretty much told it like it was. The only people nodding their head in agreement was LSU fans.

Mel is so out of the loop, he thinks Franks will re commit now that Les is staying. Not knowing that Les is the reason he didn't want to go to LSU

The media and the talk shows eat this goofy Miles situations up. He's been involved in coaching change scenarios, inept time management games, eating grass, bizarre quotes in pressers, 4th down gambles, all sorts of fake kicks.
It's all things that get people talking I guess. Like I said before covering Miles is an industry all to it's self. They don't want to see that go away anytime soon, it's good for business.

Booger said Miles needs to make changes to the offense. Seems leary that he will.

I ain't listening to that. Tl;dl

Honestly those guys know nothing about the situation at LSU. They said we were getting FF back.

Number one reason for LSU to keep Miles is because it makes people who are not fans happy. An eliminated threat by means of a non existent offensive strategy is a win win for them.

These guys don't even understand what is wrong with Les's coaching. Les Miles himself doesn't even understand why his approach is failing, as demonstrated when he hired Peveto and Steele.
It has slipped his mind that is his style of winning is predicated on defense and special teams being elite.
No one in the media is bright enough to see this. His golf-like approach, to win with the lowest score possible, can't work as currently constituted.

If so, why was he committed for nearly a full year? Stop making stuff up. You can do this without stuff like that.

He never said Manning would bust. Nobody did. U kids and your dreams

It's amazing how no one knows anything about LSU except for the people that wanted Les fired

Frank's officially committed to Florida an hour ago. ??

I was being sarcastic. Kiper is the arguably he best at what he does.

Les Miles = Sir Edward Pakenham GCB
The other SEC West Coaches = General Andrew Jackson
The Battle of New Orleans showed formerly effective tactics become outdated.
Les has no one to tell him otherwise and we can expect the same results* from him and the LSU program until he is removed as HFC.
*Great recruiting, poor strategy, poor in-game modifications, innovative assistant coaches not coming to the staff, the talent alone yielding 5-3 or so SEC records.
LSU has recruited on par with Alabama over the past six years. How many NC trophies does each school have over this period?
3-0 to Alabama ('09,'11,'12)
Why is that differential lopsided?
A clear disparity in Management skill.
Is the gap between the programs closing or widening?
You already knowed.
