It actually is a fantastic city to visit and live, regularly making the top 10 of the "most livable/best place to live" type rankings. A very pretty city with offerings on par with cities much larger in size. And the university is right on the lake nestled next to downtown.

pisses me off more that we play at Lambeau.

Two of the best campuses to visit for a college football game and the fans of LSU and Wisconsin don't get to experience it.

You do have the best governor in the U.S. residing there.

Agree

Paul/Walker 2016.

Drove from St.Paul to Menominee, WI a couple of years ago. Saw a whole lot of nothing.

Lambeau is a cathedral to football. That game will be a classic, and one hell of an atmosphere.

No argument on Lambeau's pedigree. However, all college football games should be played on a college campus IMHO.

I think we all agree on this and are all aware of the benefits of neutral site games.

As has been said elsewhere, the past 20 years have been the golden era of Badger football. Not a lot to talk about outside of that. But it's safe to say that UW is trending well, and how the hell does Ferentz still have a job? That guy should be arrested for how much he's shaken down that administration and what he has to show for it.

Haha, just talking shite but that glory run includes a 9-11 record against Iowa over their last twenty meetings as well.

Ferentz has the Agent of the Millenium. He has a lifetime deal and I think his son will be the next Head Coach. Iowa will have gone forty years with just two coaches by the time Ferentz leaves.

You produce 8-4 seasons at Iowa, with the occasional outlier in either direction, asses will be in seats and the status quo will remain. Especially if you're clean along the way.

Sounds like the Cubbies. Except in their case it would be 4-8 putting asses in the seats.

LSU also served beer in the Union back in '68. Drinking age was 18 in that era, or tall enough to get your money on the bar.

My question is, why the hell did Bielema leave Madison for Fayettville?

For the record, I've been doing this 'notable alumni' stuff for non-B1G opponents for a couple years now. The only school I can remember with a worse batch of notable alums is Tennessee Tech. The most powerful business owning alum from LSU is the woman who started Ruth's Chris, and I still to this day do not understand that name.

That's not nice. But it's a terrible list he presented.

Since 2003 LSU has played pretty much everyone of the BCS teams Wisconsin has faced outside of the Big Ten schedule.
And we have beaten them all.

Yup. I didn't post all bowl opponents but yeah, a lot of the same programs.

They have not beaten a ranked OOC team in regular season since 02

1) $$$$$$

2) Ego

3) The misperception that it's easier to win a national championship in the SEC (not everyone can be good fatty..someone has to lose)

4) His wife was not popular around Madison, and some believe she encouraged the move. He was also rumored to have sampled the local women which she was not fond of.

5) He felt the down south cooking could speed up his quest for Ralph Friedgen level fat

6) So he could have awkward looking moments like this LINK

It's a typo that should read 2004. That loss to Iowa was Saban's last game at LSU.
