I kept hearing how he is "better than his brother".

What's he had so far, 2 late appearances in the Purdue FW series?

I think he's talking about Tanner Reaves, who started there last night and the second game on Saturday. Reaves has talent but he's also 1/9 at that plate so far. He's also hit a couple balls reasonably hard into the OF. He hasn't really earned more playing time to date.

I dont think Reaves is any threat to Braswell for playing time at 3B. On top of plate struggles he is completely lost defensively. Not sure why they dont play him at 2B (not arguing he should be OVER Dickinson, just when we rotate in backups, guys for mid-week games. etc

Reaves & Pearson would both be a big downgrades defensively from Braswell.

I don't disagree, and neither has done anything at the plate to sacrifice defense for offense at this point. They'll get reps in midweek games and at the end of blowouts. If they start hitting better, maybe that's a conversation for a later date.

He's also made game saving plays on defense on the biggest stage. That is why Jay trusts him.

Without his defense in the tourney we probably would not have won the tourney.
He earned his position every series.

That was the worst team you’ve seen all year

Yeah I like Blake but that was just a weird thing to say. He likes to use hyperbole but he even doubled down on it 5 min. later.

Like bro do you even Southern? Purdon't FW was picked to finish last in its shitty conference.

As as far Braswel, he earned his spot hitting what he hit last season and by his defensive play down the stretch. He was lights out the last 4 weeks or so after a shaky start.

MB will be the 3B starter in any meaningful game form here on out. Understand that Jay is using the non-con to see what he's got in Reeves, JohnP, etc.

I'm almost there with Stanfield too..with the ground he can cover in OF it'll be tough to take that off the field. He just needs to improve the ABs between his hits to be a little more consistent at the plate. Jay will get him right.
