That’s what really drives them crazy is LSU and the funding. It’s like they believe if only they got a “fairer” share of the budget— it could become like UF and Florida State or something.
Nevermind Louisiana has like 1/7 of the population as Florida with way way too many schools in both secondary education systems in this state for such a small
Population. Harsh truth is for them they will never get the funding they wish they could get.

Same engineering programs existed, did they not? I know because I have nephews that attended the school then and has an electrical engineering degree as a ‘87 grad.
LOOK AT THE DEMOGRAPHICS. It is a commuter school.

You make zero sense, so just try to deflect. You said “Nothing is different today than in the early 80’s. The degree programs are the same.”. That is total nonsense. Answer my question: how can a school go from R2 to R1 which requires more PHD programs, etc., yet all their degree programs stay the same?
Here is just a sampling of what it took to achieve R1, which included adding new ‘degree programs’:

Also, although the land-size of the main campus is indeed very small, we have recently gone from ~125 to ~145 acres, which in turn allowed us to increase on-campus housing. Every previous dorm was demolished and new/better/higher capacity ones were added. The master plan of 2012 set a goal of increasing housing from ~1,500 to 5,000, which has been met.
You know nothing of this school and are just being a dick.

Also, we have recently expanded our campus again, by purchasing the old OLOL property, which lies between the main campus and the athletic campus, so is a perfect bridge between the two. Since we are a land-locked campus, this is truly a miracle come true.

A PhD in Cajun language, not to be too derogatory here, but fill in the blanks for yourself, is not a PHD. Are the engineering programs the same?
Answer my question on Demographics? SLU has PHD programs as well, do you consider them a “fine university”? That was what I responded to. IT IS A COMMUTER SCHOOL WHERE KIDS CAN GET A frickING EASY arse MBA OR PHD. Good for the crawfish pond management PHD err ag degrees.
