Funny thing is, he'll very likely do it all to himself.
I just hope he takes Alleva down with him. They absolutely CANNOT allow him to hire the next guy.

initially I thought he'd last 2 years, but we'll get shelled tomorrow. The team has no faith in O and they won't play for him.
We'll follow up on a humiliating loss to Florida with another big one against Auburn. After Bama beats us by 30, O's fate is sealed. It will be almost be impossible to not fire O, and it might happen before the season ends.

Todd McClure is perhaps the biggest LSU fan out of the former players I know. He bleeds purple and Gold and would never spread false information about the program he loves right behind God, and his family. If McClure went public with this, it has more creditability coming from him than any former player or member of the media covering LSU.

I mean, recruiting will suffer either way but no recruit worth having will commit to LSU with O here. We might not really salvage the 2018 class by cutting him lose but we sure as heck won't get any by retaining him either and then we have this same dynamic next year.

This is why I want Canada on the sideline. A blowup between these two on the sideline tomorrow on national TV would be GLORIOUS.

In all seriousness I could see it playing out something like this...
Coach O saying something about the offense being unproductive in the 1st half of Troy. Then Canada firing something back along the lines of "YOU wanted a simplfied offense. It wasn't me, it was your offense that was unproductive..."
At which point it could only go downhill from there....
EDIT: That scenario is purely spectulation!

You know (not counting Bo Rein), I've lived thru 9 LSU football head coaches, including O. Out of the previous 8, I don't recall a single one of them having to constantly remind people that they were the head coach the way this guy does.

I knew there was something going on back of the curtain......the fans thought having a new coach and more than excellent OC and DC was the ideal situation........ but apparently not... this is the exact reason all Head coaches bring in their own people THEY get along with
