Maybe I’m just ignorant of the situation (Verge)

I think Verge will do a good job. At the end of the day, it’s really the big money people’s decision. I think we had to get “alignment” quickly given our situation and our perception given the past couple of weeks.
Verge loves LSU. I think he will do whatever it takes for LSU to be successful. I’m cautiously optimistic this will work.

Verge has been around the program for like 30 yrs. He knows what LSU needs to be successful.

Agreed! Verge is a good man! I have known him since we were both at LSU during same time. We still stay in touch a little bit even now.

Around ten years ago, I called the athletic office to complain about OOC scheduling. Felt the person totally blew me off and was just trying to get off the phone. The next day, Verge called me. He talked scheduling and everything LSU with me for 15 minutes. I'll never forget that.

So you basically have Verge as an inside sauce and you haven’t tried to “stay in touch” this past week to get some updates on the coaching search? Cmon man, help us out!

Well I have faith LSU did their research and did an exhaustive search of potential AD candidates all across the country.
