No, the reason why Nuss hit the transfer portal as soon as the regular season ended last year was exactly because he knew that it was inevitable he'd lose his starting job to Nuss in 2022 and along with it, his opportunity to make it to the NFL.

i love how a lot of yall love to shite Brennan like he didnt throw for 345,337,and 430 yds in his first 3 starts in which no other LSU QB has ever done.
If Brennan gets a good oline in front of him and gives him time he has heisman level arm strength and accuracy.... Something Max Johnson is nowhere close to.

No I don’t. He would be 3rd in the depth chart…..and he knew it. That’s why he transferred. He wasn’t a terrible QB, and had some moments. The biggest problem was that he wasn’t able to pick up or neutralize defensive pressure on him.

Quitting when you had the 1st string job, not a good look on him.
Doubtful he will be any better unless he gets rid of his happy feet and tendency to throw the ball up for grabs when under pressure.

No. In all fairness one of the reasons Max left was because he was worried about Nussmeier breathing down his neck. When Max was benched for Nussmeier last year I am sure his Dad couldn’t handle it and with his and Jimbo’s ties to Florida State it is a natural that Max would go to Jimbo at A&M.
I don’t think Max would be playing this year if he stayed at LSU.
