re: Max Johnson should have started vs A&M

Tj has a cannon for an arm. I'm sure it looked great in practice vs max. What practice didn't bring out was that competitive edge ,the IT factor. Max proved during a full game he was the better survivor . Ran for his life, read the entire field in a split second and made good decisions, ball control- not losing the game >> winning the game. Max is our best QB. I don’t care who a bunch of the rant thinks is the most deserving or whatever. He’a our guy 100%.

We might have been able to beat them who knows. But this upcoming season , we’re gonna kick their arse in Tiger stadium. The only game on the schedule I don’t see as a win as of now is obviously Alabama. It’s NY6 bowl or bust.

The cream will rise to the top. Let them compete for the job. If Max is better, he will start. You have to give Brennan the chance to win that job back. He’s been loyal to the program and you owe him that respect. If Brennan isn’t the starter after the spring, he’ll probably go somewhere else to play his last year and we’d have a true freshman as our only other option.

lol yeah and now the whole rant has turned against Finley and don’t even consider him a factor. While max is suddenly the next Joe burrow after two games. One in which we won by a shoe toss and a 60 yard bomb fg and another were he went 27 of 55 throwing 10 yard in routes all game against a defense that may have been worse then ours.

Eta: and also yes I realize max is the better runner but we act like he’s Lamar Jackson or something. Max has taken more sacks than TJ in 3 less starts and one of better parts of TJs game is his ability to make subtle moves in pocket and avoiding sacks. If I remember correctly in that AM game our line couldn’t block a high school team that night and the only reason that game was close was because Jimbo was trying to run the score with Kellen Mond who couldn’t throw a rock in water if he was standing on a boat in the middle of the ocean that night.
