if he continues to improve and the talent placed around him stays elite.

All signs say he's the type of QB who will make the talent around him better - as they make him better.

A lot of the 'magic' of the '19 season was created in the frequent players-only practices.

I remember you saying Burrow would win the Heisman and be the top QB picked. You were relentlessly mocked. I hope to hell you prove the dolts on this board wrong again.

Press clippings? Don't be silly. Boutee is the source for the constant work on routes and timing with Johnson. All done on their own time. For a lot of players that is too much work. For players like Boutee and Max, that is more fun and more interesting than PS4 could ever be.

They think that if 5 of them agree on something, that equates to the absolute final truth. LOL

Those people didn't learn a thing. This offseason will be just as pathetic.

If 5 posters on this board agree on anything put your money on the polar opposite.

I’m just waiting for the triumphant return of RickDummy and his loyal sidekick Damone. He’ll dust off his “stats” to “prove” he’s right about everything and then declare his superior “football knowledge”. He’ll easily lure in the 5 requisite posters that Joe mentions.

Oh yeah..the squad. Protect Les Miles legacy at all costs.

Some people are just wired for negativity. Its who they are.

Depending on the hires, which I am optimistic about, this year could be pretty damn good.

Here's a fine little bit from outsiders analyzing this board

Am I the only one that thinks he will get to a point and plateau? I’m not a fan of his lack of arm strength.

"Arm strength is the most overrated part of football," Johnson said. "The most important thing about a quarterback is knowing the system, understanding where everyone is, quickness with your feet, accuracy, and throwing a ball that's catchable. It's not throwing a ball real hard. "

This was quoted by Max's dad when Max was about 3 years old - around the time his dad won a Super Bowl. True then . True now.

Especially if it is a negative idea.

He had plenty of zip vs Ole Miss A couple of those downfield crossing patterns were perfect.

Urbans knock on JB was a lack of arm strength, he wasn't lacking his Senior season.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he looked good. He has spectacular touch on the ball. Some of the prettiest balls I’ve seen a freshman throw.....

With that said, there’s been a couple of ducks and a couple throws I was afraid would get picked due to not much zip on the ball.

Just hope they work on that. Maybe being in the S&C program will help that out. I’m sure his dad has a few connections with some trainers to work there too.

There were a couple he threw that were pretty ugly, but I imagine with all his connections he will work out springs and summers with some good folks and improve on it.

Burrow's talent was already there. The improvement from 2018-19 was being put into the right scheme.

THe right scheme AND a year of experience as a full time starter in SEC play.

You said you would be gone after the season. Not only haven’t you left, you’re now acting as if you’re an insider talking about what you “heard” about Woodward forcing O’s hand on Pelini. Go away like you said you would.

True enough.

But lets remember that Max QB'd a 3-5 team to a win against #6 Florida in THEIR house. Then did his part to knock off a decent Ole Miss team. Threw for 435 and 3TDs, and ran for 45 yards and 2 TDs.
