You ever had a torn labrum on your throwing shoulder? You ever had a torn anything! Ever even thrown anything? I’ve been down on Max all year and think he’s the least talented of he, Nuss, and Walker. However, Peetz fricked him by not putting him in positions to have success. But more importantly, you can’t play QB with a torn labrum and be effective. I’m actually excited to see what Nuss can do with a month of prep reps rather than just a week. And though I know they wanted to redshirt him a few weeks back, lots of shite has changed, and I bet the family is happy to have the opportunity to show Kelly and the new staff what he can do.
Good luck to Max wherever he lands and Nuss in the Texas Bowl. And let’s see who wins the job going into the fall. shite happens with coaching changes . We don’t have to be mad at anybody.

People calling Max a shitty QB haven’t seen Andrew Hatch, Jordan Jefferson, Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings and a few more. Max Johnson with a decent OL and coaching was serviceable at the very least. I think this is a loss and maybe takes a notch off next year.

Just don't follow the logic that MJ would know 1) that a transfer was coming in...who / why tell him...or 2) who that transfer mite be, i.e. is this guy good enuff to scare MJ away or 3) what kind of OC would scare him away? None of this makes any sense & can't see Kelly telling him there is no place for him at LSU as the starting QB. Where ever else he goes he won't be promised to be the starter. Has to be some other issue.

JJ never quit but he just didn’t have the passing game down. To me max was in the same category as a Jarrett Lee or a Danny Etling. Neither of those were bad QBs.

I'd argue that they all were failed by coaching. JJ looked like a good passer until the coaches got in his head, just like pretty much all of Miles's QBs.
Max regressed as well, but not nearly as bad as the Miles bunch. Sucks that all 3 of the QBs competing last year for PT are now out. 0 really crashed and burned!

"Walker only option"? With only a mth, at best, worth of practice, to start in the Dome against Fla. State on national tv? I pray that he's that good, as there are very few of those out there...absent bama's 5 star QB's.

Definitely doesn't make sense as far as the information we have tight now. I guess we'll find out a little more in time.
