He rebuilt Baylor. He can turn Nebraska around
He took over a bad situation, and did a great job turning them around quickly, but he had almost no short-term expectations when he got the job and he never beat a ranked team while he was there.
I'm not sure it's a given that he would have sustained success at Nebraska because we just haven't seen it from him yet.
Temple can be mentioned, but Golden and Addazio had 8 and 9 win seasons there before Rhule. They only took a step back when Temple rejoined the Big East for one season when they were still a BCS conference, then Addazio left for BC.

Nothing would have been inevitable had we kept Brady and Aranda. Or even just one of them.
We would have kept rolling.
Aranda was the adult in the room and after he left Orgeron destroyed our defense with his absurd ideas of "attacking the quawtaback".
Without Burrow, Chase, Clyde, Jefferson, etc., Brady is still decent, but not great. Besides, his system stayed in place and we scored some points. Didn't matter since our defense and locker room went to shite without Aranda and player leadership.
Bottom line is Orgeron couldn't handle that success and let his career and personal life implode. He'll admit as much and it was inevitable. It's not like he was a good coach outside of 2019 anyway. He found lightning in a bottle.

Oklahoma and Texas? Really?
Yes. Both coaches have reasonable contract buy outs, at schools with big money. Neither are safe, but Sark more so than Venables.
Hiring an ace coach is about timing more than anything else.

I would've like the Rhule hire for LSU. He was my first choice and hope.
I sure hope he doesn't go to the SEC. I think he would be tough in the SEC. What he did at Baylor was impressive, I don't care if the Big 12 was down at that time...still impressive.
