He's got a solid argument, just because South Carolina is an outlier, so is Pearl at Auburn on a 4 year plan. Both arguments can be made. However, you can't really make that point because of how you define success. South Carolina had a great season, and got waxed in the round of 64 by an 11 seed. You already made a stance of that not being impressive if LSU did it, so it's not really a stance you can take without contradiction.
